Buffet at Circles Restaurant
Michelle is actually right next to me ... but I dont
think she'll want me to show you how she looked
that early in the morning...after doing soo much last
minute work the night before.
JULY 9TH
Mike and Dennis ~ Buffet at Circles Restaurant
in the hotel. Around 7:45am ~ a couple of more
hours until the wedding!!
JULY 8TH
Michelle and Dennis do some last touch ups on the
basket that will be used to carry the "kissing puppies"
for the wedding.
JULY 7TH
I finally got to see Michelle!! She finally got the time
off from work. This was also the day that Dennis arrived.
Michelle wasnt too sure when he was coming in. He had
to call her cell from a pay phone :-P ~ Here is Michelle,
Mike, and Dennis singing some Karaoke.
JULY 6TH
Once again, we went to Pavillions Shopping Mall.
Mom wanted to bring me to Dencio for lunch.
We had Bulalo and Sisig ... again .. yumm!!! After
lunch we went to watch movies ... THE LAKEHOUSE.
Price: 110 pesos = around $2 ... After the movie, my mom
took me to one of her other favorite places to eat at the
mall; Lanai Kaperterya ... for Cafe Mocha & Spaghetti. She
didn't want me to take pictures there! :-)
Lunch At Dencio
After the taping of Wowowee, we went to Dencio for lunch.
Had Sisig for the 1st time ... really liked it! But didnt know
what was in it. :-)
June 30th / July 2nd
I took the Super Shuttle to LAX ~ left my apartment
around 6:15pm, the driver said it was going to be
traffic and we might get there around 8pm ~ there was
another person with me in the shuttle. I'm so glad it was
a "short" ride. We actually got to LAX around 7:15pm.
So I just waited...and waited...the plane didnt take off
until 10:45pm ~ DINNER WAS SERVED AT 11:00pm!!
They showed "Failure To Launch" but I was too sleepy
after dinner. I had the aisle seat ... and seated next to me were two 12 year old boys who kept trying to get out and visit other family members in other seats
I still managed to get some sleep. When I woke up it was
8:30am (L.A. Time) and breakfast was about to be served.
Just in time to catch the beginning of "Fire Wall". After the
movie I was still tired ... I just decided to go to sleep again.
When we finally reached Philippines I felt well rested. It just
took forever for me to get my Luggage & box. Vacation has
finally started for me :-)

6 Months Until I'm 32
Its seems like the 14th of each month I'm counting down
to my birthday.
In 6 months I'll be turning 32 ... it feels kinda weird ... I
sometimes forget that I'm 31 right now.
When I turned 16, I never thought about where will
I be in 16 years. And now, I'm thinking about what I've
done in those years and the people that I've met.
Should I be doing more with my life?? Travel? Buy a
house? Change the world?
I don't know if other thirtysomethings think about this,
but its kinda scary ... I have these goals in life ... and the
days and years are passing. Are there some things in life
that looks good in paper, but cant really be "check marked"?
* sigh *

Lady In The Water
For those of you who has seen this movie already and know
the fate of the critic ... I say ... "Good For You M Night ....
let that MOFO (___) !!" Sorry, dont want to spoil it for
the rest of you.
I hate reading reviews of critics who try to compare MNS
movies ... praising The Sixth Sense ... and then writing about
how the other films weren't at the same level. Yes ITS WAS
AN AWESOME MOVE ... thats why MNS was praised as the
next "Speilberg"
This movie was COMPLETELY different from the other
MNS movies ... BUT IT WAS STILL A NICE FILM ... I
dont care what those other critics are saying. It really
seems that they are only comparing MNS movies, and not
really seeing this movie and its potential.
I was NOT disappointed at all .. and if critics could just get
rid of their "hard-on" with The Sixth Sense, they'll know how
great the other MNS movies are. Stop comparing his movies
to each other!! Just enjoy them as they are!!
I'm tired of sequels (except Pirates), or movies based on TV
shows, or book adaptations (except Devil Wears Prada), etc.
This movie was an original.

Mean Girls
I remember working at THE studio when this movie first
came out ... yeah ... I could have watched it for free ... I don't
know why I didnt watch it ... must have been working.
I also remember working at a particular show where the topic
was about peer pressure and ofcourse they brought out Ms Lohan
and the author .. whose first name is also ROZ ... to talk about the
movie .. and then they brought out other girls who talked about
how some of them were just "mean".
Anyways ... I'm just digressing from my main point .. I borrowed
this DVD from the library because it was FREE ... and I wanted to
"see" why Tina Fey got a nomination for "Best Adapted Screenplay".
I actually liked the movie ... very funny ... ofcourse .. she does write
for SNL ... so now I know why ... the nomination ... it was a good script.

Netflix DVD
I opened up my mailbox today and saw a familiar
red envelope ... from Nexflix ... but I cancelled my
membership MONTHS ago ... so why would they
send me somthing out of the blue.
Then I saw the shipping address .. for an LG .. our
address is "somewhat" near each other ... but two
completely different streets and a couple numbers
backwards.
The DVD was the second season of a popular show
on HBO ... now if it was the 1st season, I might have
been tempted to open and watch ... but that would
be SOOO WRONG. Right?!?!

Pest Control Spraying Day
When I got home from work today, I was soo tired to move anything
back to the kitchen and bathroom.
The only thing I put back in the Kitchen was the microwave and toaster
over... the only thing I put back in the bathroom was my facial products.
I was distracted by the Travel Channel and the topics of Best Lake Houses
and Best Castle Homes (oh why cant I have both). There really isnt much
on TV anymore, just reruns and some really BAD reality shows.
I had decided to put all the plates / mugs / glasses in my FRIDGE ... yeah,
Im CRAZY & WEIRD but I didnt want to put them on the studio room floor
and really .. there wasnt much space. And my Fridge was empty, so more
space there. So those were the other things I put back into place.
I really need to throw out some stuff anyways ... but the heat and having no
AC is making me really lazy.
I get the wedding pictures tomorrow!!

Laundry Day
I've made it through another day at work!
Got home and had to do laundry since I had to clean my "living room" ~ I
had to clear the Kitchen and Bathroom counters/drawers/cabinets and put
the items in the living room instead.
I'm soo glad all four of the washers and dryers weren't being used. I was in
and out of my apartment just putting the four loads in the wash and adding
softner too. I was so tired doing all of that, but I got my luggage in the
closet, I needed a resting period for all the laundry work, I didnt want to
take a nap since I didnt want to sleep through the night, so I just watched TV.
When I got the clothes back ... I found boxers with my DARKS! I didnt
check the top load dryer when I was loading it .... so I guess the person
who owned it didnt check too ... OKAY ... so normally I would go back to
the laundry room and put the boxer in the dryer, or just leave it out for
anyone to see ... I was just too tired to go back ... I just used it as a rag to
wipe down the counters .. HEY IT WAS JUST NEWLY CLEANED!!!

1st Day Back
Okay ... so I got an early bus and guess what .... Melanie & Francis were
in there too!!
It was nice seeing them ... they liked my new Coach bag & hair cut.
I filled them in on little bits and pieces of the wedding, etc. They said
I looked "refreshed" ... I actually felt like that ... I wasnt falling asleep
or anything.
At work I gave out more Pasolubongs, everyone kept saying "welcome
back", and I was glad to be back ... just didnt want to be working. I survived
the whole 8 hours ... and we also had a meeting so I was at work until
4:30pm. Ani drove me to the bank so I could deposit my check afterwards.
I then had to go to the Library to return the books. Afterwards, I took the
bus to Rite Aid to drop the camera, the pictures would be ready in three
days. Then I went to go grocery shopping.
When I got home, there was a notice to enter the building on Friday ~ for

Back From My Vacation!!
My Holiday Is Over!!
It's back to work tomorrow!!
The plane landed ontime ~ 7:45pm ~ we were on a "remote" location where
we had to take a shuttle back to the main terminal ~ I lost track of time at
this point ... I really needed to use the bathroom and tried to speed my way
to customs & immigration & the baggage claim area ... finally found the
CRs by the immigration desks.
The immigrations line went by fast ... the attendant just asked me how long
was my trip ... "18 days, wish it was longer" ... now it was time to grab a
cart and find a "slot/position" by baggage claim ... no such luck ... the
whole area was surrounded by people and their carts. We were all waiting
for what seemed like 10-15 minutes until luggages actually started to come
down the conveyer (whatever they call those thingys) ... The 1st Class/
Business/connecting passengers got their luggages first ... then came the
"Fiesta" Class ...probably another 10 minutes later!
I thought I was going to wait forever .... but in 5 minutes time ... I saw
ZIGGY!! I knew putting the stickers would help ... the problem was getting
through the crowd of people hovering over the area. I thought I would be
smart and try to "follow" ZIGGY until I find an "open" area ... didnt happen
... I was back where I started. So I had to maneuver my cart and ask people
to move, I actually tapped an attendant and pointed to my luggage and said
"thats mine" ~ BUT HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING!! So I had squeeze my way
in and some guy helped me get ZIGGY & the box.
With my hand carry / Ziggy / and the box on my cart ... it was time to pass
customs .... I really hoped that I didnt have to open my luggage ... the line
was really short and when the attendant asked what I had in the box and
luggage ... I simply told the truth ... "my dirty laundry" ... he smiled ... I
smiled ... now time to get to the exit.
If anyone has flown into LAX you know that there would be a crowd of
people who were friends and family waiting/looking for passengers .... I
couldnt find my brother anywhere so I headed to the pay phones to call
him ... three rings later he picked up his cell phone.
Roz: Hey, I'm here.
Rommel: Where are you at?
Roz: I'm at the pay phones.
Rommel: You're at the pay phones? We're at the pay phones.
Roz: You are!?!?! Where?
I looked over at the other side of the row of pay phones and saw my brother
and my sister-in-law sitting down ... Little Man Nate was with them too!! At
this point I yelled over the phone "how funny is this"!!
So we went over to the car and it was about 8:45pm ... not bad ... just an
hour of baggage and immigration. So we talked about the wedding, etc.
Rommel took the wrong exit (I really need to know how to get to my place,
but I dont drive) so he had to drive a little more until we were back on track
on the 405. On the way back to the apartment, I was praying that everything
would still be there, and that nothing "bad" had happened.
It was just about half an hour drive and we got to the apartment ...
everything was still in place!!! BUT HECKA HOT!! Rommel asked to
turn on the AC ... which I didnt have ... and he thought I was crazy not
to have one ... just a small fan. Too warm for the two of them. I opened
up the box & Ziggy to give them the Pasulobongs (sic) from the Philippines.
Nate was walking everywhere ... he's soo big already ... and so adorable!
By the time they left it was already 10:00pm ... I was soo tired to really do
anything. I called Gloria since I saw her number on my caller ID ... there
were 60 msgs on my answering machine ... but really no "real" msgs ...
She said that she called earlier but my voice box was full. Mike was
working with her and they welcomed me back home. They wanted to know
all about the vacation and I told them that I hope I could wake up tomorrow.
We all said goodnight ... but really ... I was feeling all jet lagged and dizzy
but couldnt sleep so I decided to call my sister Rowena to tell her about
the things I brought back for her. A friend of hers also got married on
July 9th so were were both talking about the weddings.
Rommel came home about 10:30pm and he decided to call mom just so
she knew I arrived safely ... mom was happy and were were on the phone
until 11pm ... really need to sleep ... I really dont know how long my clothes
are going to stay in Ziggy.
Oh ... and when I checked my mail box ... IT WAS BEYOND STUFFED!!
