Morning Glory

It's been awhile since we've gone to a movie and today everyone finally had free time. Since some of our friends liked this movie, we decided to watch it. Half of us wanted to see Harry Potter, the other half wanted to see Tangled.

This was a wonderful choice!!

Great acting...and great writing!!

And I love, love, love the Natasha Bedingfield song that played at the end of the movie..."Strip Me"...had stayed again to read the credits.

Last Christmas

Something happened last year that really ticked me off. I really wish I could forget it but a voice inside my head keeps telling me that it happened for a reason and that it should have opened my mind about "such and such" ~

No I haven't forgotten.

Which is sad. I think I'm a person that forgives. However, I don't forget. Maybe I don't really forgive as much as I think I do.

But I think this reason of "such and such" really deals with trust of some sorts. I can't trust "such and such" anymore ~ I've become a person that really doesn't care much about this and that.

So I've come to a decision.

I don't think I'm a terrible person for feeling this way. But I need to feel some level of trust for "such and such" ~ since what will be the whole point ~ I don't want to be fake, two-faced, untrusting.

I've made up my mind.

Tree Card Holder

I've just received a card from one of my friends and was soo happy! This is one of my favorite things about this time of the year.

Holiday Greetings!

A couple of years ago, someone gave me a tree card holder. My studio is really small, so I've never bought a Christmas tree, this was the closets thing for me to have. Even if its on my desk.

I love displaying the cards I receive! But lately, the past years, less cards are being sent...and they are replaced with emails and e-cards. Something that would be tacky looking on the tree.

I'm the person that sends out cards to family and close friends...but now I have to just settle on the email.

Day Light Savings Delimma

I woke up 4:00 am ~

My body probably thought it was 5:00 am ~ and I don't know how long this will last. Last night I was dozing off at around 9:00pm ... completely missed Desperate Housewives.

I'm just glad that I don't have to walk out in the dark at 6:00am anymore ~ the Bus Stop seems safer.

Now coming home is a different story. I usually would go for a walk/run around 5pm ~ but ofcourse ... at that time ... it'll be dark now.

A Star Is Born Marathon: Part 2

Well ... I thought I was going to be able to watch all THREE A Star Is Born movies, but since the library only had the 1937 version in VHS, I had to use my VCR ---> which didn't work at all!!

So I only had two of the movies to watch. Had no idea that the 1954 version had part of the movie edited in "stills" and "voice overs" !! Which really annoyed me. There was waaayyy too much singing and dancing than story.



Now for the final version ... I actually liked it ... Kris Kristofferson was great!! And now I know why the movie poster looked that way it did!!



I'm still going to try to rent out version 1937!!

A Star Is Born Marathon

Today is DVD night!!

I remember watching a Gilmore Girls episode where Lorelai decides to watch all three A Star Is Born movies.

I might just do that tonight.

Since the library only has the 1937 Janet Gaynor & Fredric March version on VHS, I'll have to use my VCR (yes, I have one).

I'm actually more excited with the 1976 version with Barbara Streisand version than the 1954 Judy Garland version.

Only because it had a better poster.

Alvin!!!!!!!

Alvin and the Chipmuncks was on tonight.

Not the cartoon, but the live action movie. This was the first time EVER that I watched this movie.

AND I ACTUALLY LIKED IT.

I do think cartoon Dave is much cuter than Jason Lee Dave, but still, I thought he was funny.

I know, I know, this movie might have had bad reviews, but I thought it was funny!

Time to watch the "squeakuel"

Seventy Two

Today would have been my fathers 72nd birthday.

Last month was his 11th year death anniversary.

Sometimes I wonder how we would be celebrating the day if he was alive. My family loves eating out or just getting together for dinner. I really miss him.

Dear Lord...please take some time today to "party" with my dad. I'm sure he'll love to sing some Elvis and Sinatra with you. Maybe all of you can hang out for the day.

Happy 72nd birthday dad.

Secretariat

It's been a long time since I've had the chance to watch a movie. Now that I have a free movie ticket (courtesy of Pop Tarts) I decided to watch Secretariat.

I am inspired. Truly inspired.

I knew how the movie ends of course, that he wins the Triple Crown. But to watch the races, and everyone training and caring for him...it was all heartwarming.

I am now in the mood to rent Seabiscuit...a movie i have never watched...and Hidalgo...which of course is -- :-)

One of the things I want to do in life is to actually go the the Kentucky Derby. Wear a nice fancy hat...or...in my wildest dreams...actually own a horse... call it HIDALGO RETURNS...and have him win the Triple Crown!!

I'm telling you...I'm truly inspired by this movie.

Sporty

I really wish I was a sports enthusiast.

Right now I want to be celebrating ... GO GIANTS!!

I mean...I'm happy for them...but I do I really care?!?

I really DON'T want the Lakers to have another 3-peat, but do I care who really beats them??

For some reason I tear us when I see the VISA commercial of "win tickets for life" for the Super Bowl. And there are a bunch of old men talking about how they have
gone to the super bowl for 40+ years.

I want to be sporty like that!

Okay ... it's a new month ... and I've been lagging far too long!!

I've actually have spent the last HOUR trying to download "Desktop Chaos" as my new blog template.

Obviously I failed.

So I decided on this new one.

At least there are books on the background. But dear readers, if you can tell me how to download and actually change my template, I would really appreciate it!!

Anyway, I guess I've failed on my 100 books for 2010.

Now I just want to finish my damn manuscript.
