31 in 31 days!

In 31 days ... Im going to be 31 years OLD!!!

Last year I freaked about turning 30 ... have I accomplished things
in my "list" ??? Not everything!!

Well ya'all have a month to go shopping ... but here is my
Birthday wish list!

The Wedding Date

Okay...so this was the first DVD I watched this year...and
it was "just o.k." ... in my opinion. I should have listened to
my friend Mike who said it was "stupid" ... but I didnt think
it was "stupid" .. it just wasnt "great" and will not find its
way to my "collection".

Dermont Mulroney was hot as always ... but I do think that
the movie poster does NOT flatter him at all!!! I enjoyed
watching Debra Messing ... away from her "Will & Grace"
role.

The only thing that bothered me in this movie is that
Nick & Kat didnt really have much quality time together
for me to believe that Nick would really give up his
"profession" for her. So yeah .. they "got it on" but
really ... I dont think they spent enough time for me to
believe they should be a couple.

Well worth my $1 rental at the library

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I finally got the chance to watch this movie!!

Overall ... I really enjoyed this movie ... considering this was my
favorite from all the books. A friend of mine at work reminded me
of all the things that were missing in the movie ... but it actually
worked out fine ... its just been a long time since I read the book
anyways.

I cant wait for "The Order of the Phoenix" to come out ... I just
hate what happens in the end though.

I really should have watched this movie sooner!!!

Christmas Trees Everywhere

We took our Christmas (Holiday) Tree down at work today. The fresh pine scent
will no longer be filling the lobby.

I've noticed that other people have "trashed" their trees as well. One still had
light bulbs wrapped around it ... another was blocking a sidewalk I usually take.
My neighbor still has theirs lighted up by the window ... I think its fake ... but
I dont think it matters ... its still pretty all decorated and lit up.

Reading & Time

I've finally finished "Shopgirl" and about half-way to "The Other Woman".
Im going to TRY to read a novel everyday this whole year ... I just have to
find time between work ... writing .. and watching TV and DVDs and going
to the MOVIES.

I thought of getting books on tape and CD for the times I walk and ride the
bus ... but I think I'll stick with listening to music while I read.

Just go to the "Roz Is Reading" to checkup on my progess ...

New Years Resolutions 2006

3. Eat Healthy (more salads - less junk food)
4. Go to church every Sunday (and/or Saturdays)

Goodbye 2005

Well ... 2005 will be over in a couple of hours .. and a new year is about
to begin. There were sooo many things I wish I could change .. but
really ... I have NO regrets (well ... maybe just one or two) .. seriously ...

Im thankful for soo many things
I've turned 30 this year!!

In 2006 ... i've got changes in mind ... hopefully I can achieve that goal

Another Reason To Love My Computer

I can watch TV!

I can record TV shows!

I bought a cable splitter and hooked up a cable line to my computer ... I was impressed
with the quality of the picture ... I tested out the Program Recording .. at 5pm I selected
to watch "Hot Properties" at 9:30pm ... AND IT RECOREDED THE SHOW! I guess
I have to keep my computer on to use this feature. But its a better quality than my
VHS tapes.

Strange Shower

Just when I thought this whole SHOWER problem was over ... something
happens!

I started the shower ... but at some point there was this STRANGE SOUND
and the water started to lose pressure! I got paranoid so I turned off the
shower ... then used the Tabo again .. then I turned on the shower awhile
later .. it would work fine ... BUT THEN THE WATER PRESSURE WOULD
go LOW ... and a strange LOUD sound would go off again ... please tell me
that these pipes wont burst!

Bathroom Finished

Finally ... my bathroom is finished!

The ceiling is there ... New Paint on the ceiling ... and ofcourse ... what
started all of it ... the pipes seems to be working!!

My neighbor upstairs began her shower/bath ... and there WASNT any
water dripping from the window or ceiling!!

How long will this last!

Cant Sleep

Can't Sleep ... some much going on ... stress ... stress !

I love my computer ... but I feel that I'm not doing anything productive.

Bathroom Not Finished

Well ... some progress has taken place in my bathroom. The ceiling is there ... but
a major paint job needs to be done. I decided not to put anything in there yet. I
did notice that the maintenance guys used my hand soap ... It was running low
and I noticed that there was water in the container ... THEY WATERED DOWN
my hand soap!!

Shower without using "the shower"

Okay ... I needed to bathe / shower this morning ... I didn't wet my hair ..
but I did run the water and used the Tabo to pour water over my body.
I was able to shower at Kuya Rommels house ... but still I didnt want to
"not shower" today ... tomorrow they work on the ceiling ... then I dont
have to worry about this ... AGAIN!

No Bath Until Tuesday

My Apt Manager called me at work and told me work wont be dont in my
bathroom until Tuesday ... THATS FOUR DAYS!! ... She said that I could
still take a bath/shower ... but its creepy to have the pipes / beams exposed
while Im taking a shower. I really dont want to keep asking Nora if I could
shower at work ... it was nice I was able to do it today ... but not for more.

I will not use the shower tomorrow .. maybe just the Tabo .. or maybe I
wont take a shower and go to Kuya Rommels house Christmas Eve ... and
shower there instead!

Thats a better idea ... I dont sweat that much anyway!

Christmas Shopping

I've never been sooo exhausted!!

It was my day off so I decided to finally go Christmas Shopping.

Started at Target at 8:30am -- bought one gift

While waiting for the bus .. decided to have breakfast at McDonalds.

Went to Glendale Galleria around 10:30 -- walked around looking for OLD NAVY
and DIDNT find it on the Mall Directly -- I went to that Mall just to go to OLD NAVY!
Anyways ... went to Victorias Secret / Express / and GAP ... it turns out the item
I bought at Target has some kind of "security device" and set off the alarms in those
stores ... but no one bothered me. It was just walking around finding the stores .. I
was soo exhausted. Bought four gifts at GAP.

Do I buy Lunch here??? I decided to PASS

Left Glendale Galleria around 1:30 ... then arrived at Burbank Town Center at
2:00 ... I really didnt feel like shopping there .. so I decided to go home .. the
maintenace guys should be done "putting back" my bath tub ceiling.

When I got back around 2:30 ... NOTHING WAS FIXED ... AND I LEFT MESSAGES
ON MY APT. MANAGERS PHONE ... NO ONE WOULD ANSWER. Where in the
world am I going to shower??

I called work and Nora said I could shower there ... I spoke to Gloria and she said that
there IS an OLD NAVY "in" the Glendale Galleria ... its just outside in a building of its
own!!!

Realized still hungry ... but do I eat/cook something ... nope .. cuz ..

Around 4:00pm I decided to go to Hollywood & Highland shopping center to buy more gifts.
I went to Victorias Secret (again) / EXPRESS (again) / GAP (again) / Banana Republic.
Bought one gift at Victorias Secret and one gift at GAP. I saw Melanie at GAP and she also
bought gifts at Victorias Secret.

I think I must have arrived home at 6pm ... soo tired ... I have to get all these gifts
"ready" by tomorrow ... I decided not to wrap them ... and use the boxes as is ..

I'm "malled out" ... "bused out" ... and glad I dont have to commute like this anymore ..
until next Chrismas!!

To Burn or Not To Burn

Okay ... so I found a flaw in my computer / internet access ..
I can go into a "particular" website and Download songs for
free ... during a 90 day free trial ... HOWEVER ... these songs
are licensed ... SO I CANT EVEN BURN THEM AS A MIX CD!

There are some songs already in my computers "Jukebox" ...
some that I've heard of ... and some that are new to me .. I
listened to some of them .. and there are some that are pretty
nice ... I decided to test the "Burn CD" feature ... I guess the
ones without a license worked fine.

I have a new "mixed CD" with various artists that I've just
now heard of.

Holy Cow .. Where is my Ceiling!

I just got home ... and walked into my bathroom ..

"holy cow ... where is my ceiling"

Thats exactly what I said ... If only I have a camera.

The bath tub ceiling is gone ... the pipes and beams are exposed!

Bath Work To Be Done

Okay ... today is the day maintenance guys will be working on my bath
ceiling! No more holes ... no more water dripping from the window ... no
more water flowing on floor. I just wonder how long I wont be able to
use the shower area.

I Love My Computer / My Printer Works Too

I'm soo happy I have a new computer ... this is the best Christmas Gift I've
given myself!

I went to Comp USA to buy the extension cord/surge protector ... so I could
hook up my 2-year old HP 2210 Printer that I've had but couldnt use with
my 5-YEAR OLD Sony VAIO laptop ... Its just been gathering dust.

BUT IT WORKS! I CAN SCAN PICTURES! I CAN PRINT DOCUMENTS!

I love my computer!!

Got My Dell

I finally got my DELL Computer Today!!

My manager Tony gave me his MS Office Software to use ... since I didnt
want to pay $100+ for the software.

I thought I could install my OLD MS Money 99 to this computer ... I dont
know if I was the one that installed it "incorrectly" but it doesnt seem to
be working right .. so I UNINSTALLED it ... I guess it was too old.

I tried to install my "burned" version of Final Draft ... nothing happened ..
I couldnt run the program ... I guess my computer was able to detect a
burned version.

I was able to write something ... I was able to go online (AND NOT WAIT AT
THE LIBRARY) ... I'm soo happy !

Well, I finally finished reading the book .. and Im quite impressed.
I like reading short stories but the way these stories were written ..
that they were linked together by a main character .. simply
wonderful!

I dont know why it took me so long to finish it.
I hope this does eventually become a movie

Cancelled Netflix

I Cancelled Netflix because:

1) getting a new one after I've returned one took too long
2) I couldn't afford the membership
3) I would have to watch two movies a day .. send it the next day ... and wait
for the next ones to come ... to make it worth while for the $$ spent.

Fever Pitch

I decided to also watch Fever Pitch today .. and return both DVDs tomorrow
I guess these two will be my last DVDs to watch for thiis trial membership.

Anyways .. I thought it was REALLY FUNNY ... and romantic ... It made me
miss Boston a little bit ... but I enjoyed watching Drew Barrymore and Jimmy
Fallon. Im so glad I watched this after Upside of Anger.

Upside and Fever

Two DVDs came in today!

I decided to watch Upside of Anger first ... it was OK .. Joan Allen was
brilliant as usual ... but the other characters didnt appeal to me. I also
wished Keri Russell had a "better" part. Kevin Costner was funny too.

I checked out the DVD extras ... and I am so glad that they didnt include
Joan Allens "dream sequences" in the final cut ... it would have been
OUT OF PLACE ... but so were some of the things that made the final cut.

NO DVDs Today

I mailed out Supersize Me today ... but there were no other DVDs
that came ... so nothing to watch !!

I finally got Supersize Me today ... and really enjoyed this documentary!!
I STILL want to eat at McDonalds ... NOT IN A DAIY BASIS .. even the
section on "how they make nuggets" didnt make me want to stop eating
my favorite meal.

I checked my Netflix account and it states that I should be getting
"FEVER PITCH" tomorrow.

It's still Lagging .. so I probably wont sign up for membership.

I sent out Millon Dollar Baby ... but havent received a new DVD yet.
I checked out My Netflix account and it states that I should be getting
Supersize Me tomorrow.

Hmm ... Im already thinking its taking too long for Netflix to receive and ship

Millon Dollar Baby ... depresses me!

Okay ... so I finally finished Millon Dollar Baby .. I dont remember any other
movie that has DEPRESSED me as much as this movie did. I now really
wish that AVIATOR won the Oscar!!!

I was so happy with Hillary Swank (I remember her name) winning her fights
and her friendship with Clint Eastwood ... but then that stupid STOOL incident!
And her freaken family!!!! I cried ... yes I cried ... but I felt DEPRESSED!!

AVIATOR SHOULD HAVE WON THE OSCAR ... BUT THIS MOVIE WAS
AS DRAMATIC AS ONE CAN GET!!

No Baby Tonight

I tried to watch Million Dollar Baby when I got home from work ... but
fell asleep! Too tired ... the last scene I can recall was when Morgan Freeman
gives whats her name a cup cake for her birthday ... I cant even think of
her name ... was it even a cup cake??

Anyways .. today I mailed out Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind .. I should

I decided to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind next ... I loved
this DVD soo much ... fabulous story ... no wonder it won best screenplay.

I returned Garden State today ... and since tomorrow is Thanksgiving .. Netflix

Maintenance Work Done?

I come home from work hoping that some kind of work has been done to my
bathroom ... I thought that it was weird that the blinds in my living room
window was open ... did they think that it was my living room window leaking?

There wasnt any other notice that they were going into my apartment for
additional work ... Im just thinking that they wont know what to do if they
dont see water actually coming down.

Damn bathroom ceiling ... Im cursed again!

Well I guess maintenance is finally going to check this
"new" leak. I just wonder why nothing happens when
I take a shower .. but only when my neighbor does.

They are suppose to be coming by tomorrow ... I didnt see
anything posted on my upstairs neighbors door ... maybe
she read it already ... BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO GO TO
HER APARTMENT AS WELL!!

I wonder if anything strange happens to her tub ... does water
flow out of the bottom of her tub ... does water drip from her
bathroom window ... it seems like something always happen
to my aparment!! And I dont want to move! I hate moving!

LOST ... and found

I really enjoyed tonights episode of Lost!

Jin and Sun is my favorite couple (now that nothing is happening
with Jack and Kate) and Im glad that their flashbacks were shown
tonight. I really hope that the show producers doesnt kill off one of
them .. cuz really .. how could one survive without the other!

When Sun told Kate that she buried the bottle with the messages, I
knew that that's where she lost the ring ..

I still dont know how I feel about the "new" survivors ... a part of me
is annoyed with Anna Lucia ... but it'll be nice to see Rose and her
husband find each other ...

The Mysterious Leak Continues

Okay .. so I turned in a work order ... just wondering how long it'll
take for them to respond. Now that Charlie (Apt Manager) left .. I
dont know how soon the Apt owners will see the paperwork.

I know that this ONLY happens when the person upstairs takes
a shower ... not when I shower .. not when the person next door
showers .. ONLY when the person upstairs takes a shower!!

Please let this job take only one day!!

New Leak!!

There's a new leak in my bathroom!!

I've just noticed that water was dripping from my bathroom window, at the
same time that my neighbor upstairs was taking a shower. Its not much..but
something is really wrong. This doesnt happen when I shower so I dont think
its my pipes ... and I thought that maybe there might be other parts of my bath
ceiling that may be leaking too ... thank goodness there arent any.

I also noticed that water would flow out of the bottom of my tub ... to the floor
which explains why my bathrug is wet! I was paranoid that it was my toilet
leaking ... but now .. WHY .. how could water just leak out of the bottom of my
tub!!

TIME TO CONTACT MAINTENANCE!

Mysterious Water

I just noticed that my bath "rug" is really wet ... and I've
been gone the whole day ... just wondering if water is
leaking out from the bottom of my toilet ... or tub ...
but WHY!!

The floor is dry ... but why is the bathrug wet! It doesnt
get this wet when I get out from a shower.

4 months until I'm 31

Well ... I've survived 8 months of being 30 ... and now ..
wow .. 4 more months and I'll be 31 .. Im part of the
thirty-something crowd ... I really wish I watched that
show ... maybe it could have prepared me for whats in
store for the future .. I remember a couple that had kids..
and then there was a couple that someone cheated on
someone .. or was it the same couple .. I do remember it
was the same creators of My So Called Life .. which I still
want the full season DVD collection ... for my birthday ..
in four months ..

I Was Wrong About Earl

I hate to admit this ... BUT I WAS WRONG!
When the new Fall line-up for NBC was announced ...
I said that NBC should be committed for cancelling
"Committed" ... and picking up a show called
"My Name Is Earl" .. I was really cynical (but didnt know
what the show was about) ... after watching a
"marathon" of the first three episodes ...

I REALLY LIKE THE SHOW!

I absolutely loved the scenes with Sawyer and Michael:
"Got a bandaid?" --- loved it!

Holy Freaken Lost!

Okay...I LOVED the first episode of the season!

Now where the heck did this "brother" guy come from?!?
He must have some kind of "power" which made Locke walk
and also Sarah (Jacks patient/wife).

And WALT ... OMG ... I had goosebumps when Shannon saw
him in the woods ... and his freaky whispers ... where the heck
are the guys in the raft!!

Jack was once again really hot tonight ... except his flashback
scenes ... the hair has to go.

Cant wait till next week!

Clogged No More!!

When I came home last night there was a notice
posted on my door.

"Notice to Enter: Repair for Garbage disposal to be
done on 09/20/05"

The sink is now in working order!! Its no longer
clogged!

Im soo happy! No more:
1) paper products
2) washing cooking materials in bathtub
3) stress over what to cook for dinner

As a reminder:
1) never throw rice in garbage disposal
2) never throw any form of oily sauce in
drain/garbage disposal
3) contact maintanace when a problem first
occurs.

* I kinda wanted Desperate Housewives to win...but they
have next year...and since its the last season of ELR..I was
actually glad.

Outstanding Drama: "Lost"
* YES! If they lost (haha / funny) they would
have been ROBBED!

Oustanding Writing - Comedy: "Arrested Developement"
* Okay ... so three nominations for the same show ... it
must be good writing ... I dont watch this show show
I really cant say if they deserved it ... but Desperate
Housewives "should" have won.

Oustanding Writing - Drama: "House"
* Once again ... another show I dont watch ... but come
on ... LOST should have won! ..plane crash / polar bears /
mystery numbers /wheelchair bound person who can walk /
flashbacks / the "others"/ etc.

* I felt somewhat relieved that Teri Hatcher
didnt win ... and that some other housewife

Okay ... so I'm off to another road trip to Tracy
to go to the wedding of my cousin Zenaida and
Ruel (Abadam) -- at Madroma Manor (wine country)

I would usually blog interesting things that we
did on the drive over...but nothing much happened.

1:30pm - Clock out of work / Kuya Rommel is the
driver ... on the 5N

2:00pm - Start reading "Jemima Jones" By Jane Green

3:30pm - Get coffee from Starbucks / Tall Cafe Mocha

4:30pm - Get food from McDonalds / still reading

7:30pm - Arrive at Tracy / munch on some Kare Kare
We made it in time for the Emmys!

Clogged Sink: Delimma "Worsens"

For some reason ... the water is flowing much slower
than before.

I think it might have been the "CLR Plumber". There's a
possibility it loosed some grime...contributing to the
collection of grease/food particles in the U-Stop...the amt
of water I had in the sink should have been "drained out"
already ... but there are still some trace of water!

FCUK ... solution 3 ... will cost me money!

Okay...its been done..

I filled out a work order form for the sink.
I just hope that I dont need to pay for the
"damange" -- I hope that the maintanance
guys/gals for the Apt. doesnt find anything
MAJORLY WRONG!

Clogged Sink: Solution 2

Okay ... so the plunger didnt work for my sink.
Now I have option 2 ... Draino ... I've been told that
Draino may be too strong for some pipes .. so I
decided on buying "CLR Plumber" its supposed to
be stronger without the harmful chemicals...

Well ... I used it ... and .. MY SINK IS STILL CLOGGED!
I think it might have cleaned out "some" grime, since
some actually floated out of the sink.

My sink is still clogged! I even tried to use the plunger
again ... its not working. I really think that the "U-Stop"
may now be the problem .. clogged up with extra grime/etc.

Power Outage

Okay...for one hour today I felt completely helpless and
paranoid of the power outage in Burbank. I thought of the last
news I heard this morning that there was some kind of terror alert
in the LA area and then ... BOOM .... no power ... what was weird
was that there were several other places in LA that had
power outages .. but then ... at 2pm ... Power resumes ...

"Los Angeles Department of Water and Power officials said
the outage was linked to human error at a receiving station
near Burbank. Workers connected the wrong wires, causing
a surge of power that led to shutdowns at three power generating
stations, according to officials."

Thank goodness this was just human error .. rather than
human evil!!

Clogged Sink: No Progress

I really dont want to touch my sink again.
I dont have any progress with the Plunger!

Its empty right now...but as soon as I try to
wash a pot / pan / rice cooker ... the water will
rise ... and I would have to wait a couple of
hours before it SLOWLY drains itself.

I'm really okay with Paper Products .. and I've
been using foil for baking chicken so I dont really
have any Pan cleanups to do. And washing things
over the tub isnt that bad ...

I guess I have to result to Draino or Liquid Plummer

Clogged Sink - S.1. Problem

I just told the peeps at work about my still clogged
sink and had told them the Plunger didnt work...I
explained to them that the water was still in both
sinks when I was using the plunger..

I guess I was doing it wrong...since its a DUAL sink..
I was supposed to keep one of the sink "closed off"
while I plunged away on the second one...OHHH...
and Im supposed to know this because ....

Anyways ... I guess I have to wait till both sinks are
empty...then close off one sink...and fill in the other
with some water ... and PLUNGE away...

I guess I have to live with paper products for now ...

Clogged Sink - Solution #1

Okay...So I tried the plunger to unclog the sink...
and NOTHING happened!!

I worked that plunger really hard and NOTHING
happened the sink is still clogged.

I. Now. Have. To. Use. My. TUB. To. Wash.
SOME. Dishes! FCUK!!

Still Clogged

Well ... I thought that somehow the sink would
unclog itself after some time. I had to wash my
RICE cooker and a pot .. I water seemed to be going
down .. but then ... slowly kept rising up!! So I stopped
the water.

I asked people at work if they ever had this problem,
and they told me to

1) use a plunger
2) use Draino
3) call maintenance

CRAP! I really think ... the problem might have been the
"Sabow" from the Chicken Adobo. I was contemplating on
whether to throw it in the sink ... or pour it out in the trash.
I decided on the sink ... BIG MISTAKE

Clogged Sink

Dammit! I have a clogged kitchen sink!!
I really dont know what could have happened.
Yesterday was the last day I remember using the
sink. The only things I remembered putting down
in the garbage disposal was

1) some rice
2) some corn
3) some left-over "sabow" from my Chicken Adobo

Crap ... and my landlord/maintenance cant help because
in my lease we (tenants) are responsible for our garbage
disposal!! We are NOT suppose to put into the garbage
disposal

1) rice
2) pasta
3) lard / grease

Im guilty yes ... but I've put rice in the garbage disposal before
and was never clogged!

It has been 6 months since I've turned 30.
I still feel old.
I want to change things.

Harry Potter: Year 6

** WARNING - SPOILERS - WARNING - SPOILERS **

Well it took me about a week to finally finish reading
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince ... its time for
me to let my feelings out.

1) The title "The Half-Blood Prince" made me think that
Miss JK was going to introduce a whole new character. When
Harry finds the Half-Blood Princes' potions book, I thought
this might be someone who will help Harry in the fight with
"V" ... and then .. and then ... we find out the Half-Blood Prince
is SNAPE!

2) I thought the whole "wont reveal my crush on you" between
Ron and Hermoine was cute at times ... then annoying at times.
When Ron ate the candy tainted with a love potion intended for
Harry .. from another girl .. and said something like "she doesnt
know I'm alive" .. I thought finally ... tell the girl. But NOPE ..
nothing is revealed between them. I guess it will be left for
the last book.

3) Is just me or did it seem like Snape and everyone else didnt
punish Harry enough considering the spell he used on Malfoy
seemed really dark/evil ... or was it just me picturing the pool
of blood and Malfoys body slashed open too descriptive for me.

4) Was the whole storyline with Fleur and Bill written just so
at the end when he gets seriously disfigured we end up liking
Fleur because she stays with him ... "Im pretty enough for the
both of us" ....

5) I dont know why ... but I really think Ginny did some kind
of love potion to make Harry like her ... its a mean thought ...
but He starts having feelings for her all of a sudden! I dont want
them to be together in the last book!! I mean come one .. Ron
being okay with the two of them together .. as long as she isnt
with anyone else.

6) Im really disappointed with Snape ... I cant believe he did what
he did ... I had wanted him to be the good guy .. and help out
Harry ... but It shocked me ... and Im sad of the outcome ...


Well overall ... its was a fun read ... maybe I'll get it in audio too.

Machine No Work

Today I did laundry again

I was carrying a basket of clothes and before I reached
the laundry room one of my neighbors said "machine no work".

She pointed to the second floor and I assumed she was
referring to the person who lived there probably said the
washer and dryers werent working.

I decided to go to the second laundry room further away from
my unit ... both machines worked ... I just felt that people are
just trying to get me away form the laundry room.

I was nice that they were looking out for me ... but what if it
was intentional ...

Strange Dream: Episode

Okay ... another night with a strange dream.

I was in this graduation ceremony (im one of the graduates) it
seemed like some kind of College Grad since the people there were
much older than highschool.

One strange thing about it was seeing Shirley .. my best friend in
high school ... in this dream. She's graduating too ... Im not sure
with what though ... heck I dont even know what degree Im getting.
There are some random people I know from highschool and
college who are scattered in the crowd.

At one point someone gives me an iBook to text message other
people (why not a cell phone? beats me). Anyways, another
person in this dream is KC who I havent seen for about a year and he's
there .. and we're talking.

But I have to leave to get back to my seat and chat online with
Shirley on my iBook. The graduation ends ... and somehow
Im in a Grad party but I dont know anyone there. I do know that
I see KC in the distance ... and he waves at me and I wave back
but then he's gone.

All Clear

Well ... just like the Pest Control Form said ... MY
APARTMENT SEEMS ALL CLEAR OF ROACHES!!

* lets just hope i didnt jinx myself *

New Bench

I just found out that "They" finally put a bench at my Bus Stop.
Finally! No more standing for several minutes ... If only MTA
would put up one with a cover/shade. Anyways .. this will
do just fine. Now if only they can work on the bus schedules ...

Laundry Lady

I did one load of laundry today ... almost didnt cuz
one of my neighbors was doing several loads. I was
lucky enough to get a washer before her. She asked
me if I was going to use the washer next to mine and
I said was only going to use one.

I came back 5 minutes before the washer was done
and I saw that one dryer was already being used.
There are two laundry rooms in my apt complex and
each room has two washers and two dryers. HerS was
was going to end the same time as mine .. BUT SHE
ALREADY HAD ANOTHER LOAD IN THE DRYER!

Well .. I sorta claimed the unused dryer by standing
right next to it and holding on to my Bounce softner.
A minute later she comes in and looks disappointed.

Neighbor: Are you going to use the dryer?

Roz: Yes .. just for one load.

Neighbor: Oh .. okay.

Roz: Sorry

Well, the time was 5:40 when I started the dryer ... I go back
to my apartment and watch TV. At 6:30 I hear a knock on my
door. Its that same woman and she said that my dryer was done.
I was thinking to myself that I couldnt have miscalculated the
time. Anyways ... I go to the laudry room and find out that there
is about 6 MORE MINUTES LEFT until the dry cycle ends!!
My neighbor is there too bringing another load to put in the
dryer that I'm using.

Neighbor: Can I put my quarter?

Roz: Oh, but the dryer isnt done yet.

Neighbor: Oh, Im sure your clothes are dry. I've checked mine
before after 45minute and its dry. So yours must be dry too.

Roz: Oh really?!?

Neighbor: Can I put my quarter? I could save money if I put
my quarter now. My clothes will dry fast and I could use more
loads. I saved $2.00 before.

Roz: Really?!? Okay.

So five minutes before the dryer ends I remove my clothes.
And yeah ... they were dry ... but HONESTLY ... SHE WANTED
TO USE MY 5 MINUTES FOR HER LAUNDRY .. JUST SO SHE
COULD SAVE MONEY!!

Its Getting Hot In Here ...

This would have been a good time to have an AC in my apartment.
I think my unit is probably one of the few that doesnt have one.

Last year ... about this time ... maybe earlier ... I had a memo posted
to my door that an AC was going to be installed. The weird thing
about it was that it was going to be installed on the window in my
KITCHEN! When I came home that particular day ... nothing was
installed. It looked like they checked my "living room" window ... I
thought that I might get another memo the next day to say they will
install it on that window instead ... never got another memo ... and
I never bothered to ask my Apt Mgr about it.

Now I'm just living with a mini fan.

Papa Roach ... is back ...

And I thought they were gone ....

Lets see ... the Pest Control people came on July 7th ... and
the memo said that "do not be alarmed if you see insects for
a couple of days, things should be clear in 12-24 days".

It seems like the first few days there were only one or two
sightings ... but now I've been seeing more .. not as much as
I originally did ... but shouldnt these PESTS be gone!!

Damn roaches!!

This is Clare and Matt ... Married July 3rd 2005. Clare was one of my roomates when I was living in Boston for Grad School. I couldn't come to the wedding ... but got this picture from their wedding gallery.

Aren't they a cute couple ... he's such a nice guy too ... how did they meet?? ... they met at a bar!! ... Which proves that you can meet that "special someone" anywhere. I'm soo happy for them!!

The weekend is over ... and its time to go back home.
I'm soo happy that Rochelle is doing better ... in a couple of
days her face will be less swollen and back to normal.
We ended the day with a game of bingo ... the $22 pot was
won by Kathleen and Jeffrey. This time ... the road trip home
was just Apple, CJ, and Me ... mom decided to stay in Tracy for
two weeks.

6:15pm - Apple has bad case of gas

8:25pm - Play OPM CD on the player

9:25pm - We exit "Lavar" and have a pee/food break. We missed the
"Button Willow" exit .. so this will have to do ... at least we didnt end up getting the $3+ gas ... on the exit before the "Grapevine"

9:50pm - Once again ... Apple ... well you know ...

10:00pm - Hit "The Grapevine"

10:39pm - Reach Magic Mountain

10:45pm - Discuss how Johnny Depp is such a hot / great actor

11:00pm - Home!! Need to change and get some sleep ... work tomorrow ... oh well ... it was a nice ride home. Apple now has to drive to Chino Hills to bring CJ home ... before she leaves though ... she uses the bathroom ... one last time..

Road Trip To Tracy: Part 2

Yup...Its another road trip to Tracy, CA.
This time we're visiting Tracy to see my niece Rochelle.
She just had surgery...and we want to show her our support.
On the road today is Apple, CJ, My Mom, and ME!

4:00pm - Leave Burbank

4:45pm - Apple and CJ starts singing "you are my
sunshine.

5:00pm - Mariah Carey "Daydream" CD on the player

5:15pm - Get gas ... stop by for some Micky Ds. I got a "Big
Kids Meal" they forgot to put the special "toy" ... but
I did get a 7th McNugget.

5:45pm - Reach the "Grapevine"

6:00pm - Apple and CJ have a discussion about the bugs
hitting the windshield.

6:00pm - Huge bug hits windshield.

6:30pm - We start to play the "A to Z" game. Where we choose
a topic ... cars .. and each person name a car starting
with the letter A (CJ) ... letter B (Apple) ... letter C
( me) ... letter D (mom) and it keeps going on until
the end of the alphabet...you've played this game
before right?!?

6:40pm - New "A to Z" topic ... body parts ... stuck on the letter
"x" ... armpit / Fahfah (sic) / Kilykily (sic) /
Underarm .. one body part .. many ways to call it.

6:45pm - New topic ... drinks .. any kind ...

A Visit to Buena Park

My sister calls me at work today to say that they cant come
over to visit and have dinner ... she said that I should take
the AMTRAK to Buena Park and we'll go have dinner at
Max's restaurant.

Well since they are treating dinner ... I decided to just go ...
the fare would be equal to the money I would be spending for
my dinner. Before I head out of work to get the bus I tease my
co-worker Ani that I'll be munching of some Peanut M&Ms ...
my regular chocolate fix for all my AMTRAK trips. She's another
chocoholic and is somewhat "upset" that she doesnt have
any on her.

Well...I catch the 3:15 bus to the Redline station ... the bus i
s going by fast and we should be able to get there before 3:30 ... which means I could get a train and get to Union Station by 4:0o ...
and take the 4:05 AMTRAK to Fullerton.

THAT NEVER HAPPENS!!

The bus gets to the REDLINE station around 3:25 .... BUT NO
TRAINS COME BY!! It's already 3:45 so I just want to get to Union Station ... I already know that I have to take the 5:05 AMTRAK.
Anyways ... a little after 3:45 a train comes .... and Im finally relieved ... HOWEVER ... after three stops ... the conductor
announces that it will be his last stop ...THERE SEEMS TO BE TWO OTHER STOPS THAT SECURITY CLOSED OFF BECAUSE OF A SUSPICOUS ITEM.

Anyways ... we get off the stop ... then we have to take a shuttle bus to another Redline stop that isnt closed off ... and take the train there to Union Station.

I arrive at Union Station at 5:00!!
Buy my ticket...then go over to the vending machine to get my M&Ms.
A thought came up ... with my luck ... this machine would eat my money.
That didnt happen ... however ... when I selected the candy ... as that thingy twisted to dispense the M&M packet ... the candy was STUCK!! I thought well ... if I put an additional 80 cents .. I'll get two candies ... THAT DIDNT HAPPEN!! Just one fell .. and the other was stuck.

FCUK ... Ani probably cursed me!

Anyways ... I got in the AMTRAK ... made it to Fullerton at 5:40 .. and I had a great dinner!

Pest Control Day

Just got home and Im happy that my apatment doesnt smell
like chemicals! I havent seen any roaches ... hopefully "they"
dont return. It's going to take me awhile to get my furniture
and appliances in order. I did make a decision to keep my
futon bed/couch as a COUCH ... just a change ... I've had it as
a bed since october.

Oh well ... lets see how long it'll be till Im 100% roach free.

Notice To Enter Building: Pest Control

I found a memo on my door stating that there will be the "Pest Control" people coming in to my apartment tomorrow!! Finally after a year+ of living with some roaches ... "they" will soon be gone. Anyways ... I read the memo at 4pm today .... and didnt realized until now that there was a third page .... directions on what Im suposed to do to the apartment in preparation for the "spraying" tomorrow ... And I didnt know that there was sooo much to be done ... like completely clearing the whole area!!! Its going to be a long night today ... I have a feeling that I wont be in bed till past midnight!
