It's another month to start blogging daily!!

I'm soo proud of myself!! 31 posts in 31 days!!

Just 30 days in June, so hopefully I can
continue ~

I've noticed that majority of my posts
consisted of movies and books, I'm not
sure if I should be writing on my two
other blogs about these topics, but then
again...what else would I be writing in
this blog???

I guess anything goes, so I hope readers
don't think I'm being weird or being some
kind of Book AND Movie critic, as if my
opinions matter to some of you.

NEW USE FOR LIP BALM

I found a new use for Lip Balm!!

I was channel surfing last night and saw
a clip of WIFE SWAP ... the husband of one
of the couples was saying that he never
uses lotion/moisturizer, only lip balm for
his face.

Ofcourse the swapped wife thought that was
weird.

Then i started to read more chapters of
Perfect Fifths, and guess what?!?!

Jessica Darling also uses Lip Balm to
moisturize her nose!!!

So...before i went to bed, instead of using
my regular moisturizer, i used Lip Balm on
my nose .... not dry at all this morning!!

NEW LIBRARY CARD

It's been more than a year since I've gone to
the Central Library of Los Angeles. Since I
go to the Burbank Library about every week, I
felt no need to visit.

Anyways, since BUR didnt have the LAST book
from Megan McCafferty, "Perfect Fifths" ~ I
had to travel "all the way" to the Central
Library location.

WHY BUR DIDNT HAVE IT ... I DONT KNOW?!?!?!

Anyways, I had this strange feeling that MAYBE,
just MAYBE, something might go "wrong" !!

I already knew that the book was at the "Popular
Library" section ... and I found it immediately.
I didnt feel like interacting with anyone so I
went to the "self-checkout" machine ...

AND I WAS RIGHT --> "INVALID CARD, PLEASE SEE DESK"

The guy behind the desk said my member number was
deleted since I haven't been to the library for
awhile. But it did take less than 5 minutes for
my new card to be activated.

Maybe I'll go ONCE every month ... since BUR
basically have all the books I need ... now
if only L.A. Central Library would have some
magnets that I can include with my collection.

LA FITNESS: TAKE 2

G & G --> you still have not "won" the bet!!

I'm still looking for other gyms in my "budget",
but now...I think I would still have to do my
"at home gym" (try not to laugh), and pay
attention to the workout videos ~

Since I will have to concentrate on reading
and writing, I might as well do my workouts
at home...since I don't have to worry about
commuting, etc.

The bet was ... I'd get fit in 90 days!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: STAR TREK

This was an amazing movie!!!!!!

Loved the story!
Loved the actors!
Loved the special effects!

It's been awhile since we stayed to watch
the end credits..but we did...very, very
talented people worked on this film.

SEASON 5: Jon & Kate + 8

WE'RE VERY SAD.

We were hoping to see a happy "5th Birthday"
party ... but end up watching Jon & Kate at
their "worst" (maybe not yet, but it was awful).

I cried, when Alexis told Jon "dont leave us"
cry~cry~cry .... but had no tears when Kate
was talking about marriage with multiples
and divorce.

I just want to tell them:
1. stop the book signings
2. stop the special appearances
3. be there for each other, not just the kids

I will be very happy!

LA FITNESS

I AM GOING TO JOIN A GYM!!

SERIOUSLY!!

I've gotten lazy, and even with an
exercise ball, yoga ball, and balance
ball, i feel like i haven't had any
progress at all.

Must be because I half-ass the workouts.

Anyways...if I'm paying for a club, I
probably will try to make the most of it.
I've already looked at the schedule and
would probably benefit from classes like:

Yoga
Body Works Plus ABS
Step Sculpt
MAT Pilates
Step Plus ABS

Wish me luck!! I should start soon, maybe
the start of June.

POM COFFEE

One of my co-workers would constantly give out
POM ice coffee to people at the office, and I
have to admit that it taste quite good.

I stopped drinking hot chocolate in the
morning and now drink coffee with a very
"generous" amount of Hazelnut Coffee Mate.

I have several coupons from McDonalds, and
have yet to try all of their McCafe drinks.

But this POM coffee, so far is the only
iced coffee I've been enjoying.

J & K & TLC

It seems like one of the main topics my friends
and I talk about is J&K from TLC ~ we've been
watching LOTS of reruns (which has made me lag
when it comes to reading) and have been analyzing
some "signs" that the family had "problems" ~

Hmm ... we've always joked about "K" being really
bossy and itchy ... and felt sorry about "J" ...
but even K&J said "oh its J&K, they argue and then
they make up" ... but now K&J are feeding the media
with "contracts" information, etc. ~ that "its over"

And now it makes us sad.

This was the couple that basically "has it all" :
Wonderful kids, wonderful house, wonderful "job" ~

We think that "J" is just really tired of how
"K" is treating him. And feel that they just
need to concentrate in their relationship &
the kids. FORGET ABOUT THE SHOW!!! We want the
kids to have a happy life!!! We already know that
the OCTO FAMILY is completey SCREWED!! We want
the G-10 to move forward from this drama and
come out stronger.

MAYBE A LITTLE HELP FROM DR. PHIL???

Remember ... you are here because you loved
each other. Forget about the book tours, and
the special appearances ... we want to see you
parenting, and celebrate special days & experiences
with the kids.

Just of list of some kind things people
have done for me this week:

1. someone said "bless you" after i
sneezed (and i'm a loud sneezer)

2. the bus driver stopped... when i was
still about to cross the street to get to
the bus stop (some of them just keep driving)

3. someone kept the elavator door open for
me (you've seen the NONSTOP COMMERCIAL)

4. somone let me cut in front of them at
Ralphs (i had less items)

5. i got a free Tiramisu cake after lunch
from one of my favorite restaurant

THE NEW AMERICAN IDOL: KRIS ALLEN

Congratulations to Kris Allen for winning
American Idol this year!!!

I would have loved it if Anoop was the new AI, but
I'm really glad Kris won over Adam !!

He "got me" when he sang Falling Slowly, maybe its
because I had recently watched ONCE, but he was
absolutely incredible.

Then, after watching clips of Heartless,
WOW ~ he deserved to be one of the top
2 spots!

Only TWO performances of Adam really amazed
me. ONE really OTT performance made me wish
he was the one that went home that week, and
did he even play the piano or guitar like
Kris?!?! Nope ~

What really made the night for me was that
the judges kept telling Kris that he should
be really happy that he made it this far,
which seemed really kind of condesending,
soo, I'M really HAPPY when HE WON!!!

OH ... and the whole bit with Kara and
"Bikini Girl" ... too, too, funny!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: ANGELS & DEMONS

It's been awhile since I've read this book,
but I remember liking A&D better than TDC,
so I was excited to watch this.

I don't understand why some people felt
hesitant in watching this movie, there is
absolutely no "catholic controversy" in
this movie ... AND I'M CATHOLIC TOO!!

Anyways, since I read the book, I knew who
the "bad" guy was ... I'm not sure how I
felt about the revisions ... if you've seen
the movie, and liked it ... you should really
read the book too ~

100 BOOK - THE QUARTER REPORT

I was feeling discouraged that I'll actually finish
reading 100 books by Feb. 14 2010 ~

But I actually think its possible!! If I put some
effort to it, and stop watching reruns, I believe
that I'll actually make it.

The fact that some of my "fav" tv shows wont be
returning, and will be replaced by some reruns,
and reality TV crap .... might be good for me.

I've read 2 1/2 NOVELS IN A WEEK ~ so the marathon
reading is actually working. I only watch movies/TV
"when i HAVE to" ~ read in the bus coming to work,
read in the bus going back home.

and ... when there is really NOTHING to do at work,
then i read too.

So ... i'm very hopeful!!

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE "CROWN" ISSUE

I've never really liked pageants ~

No "offense" to any woman who wants to
have "risky" photographs of herself taken,
and then compete in a pageant in the future
where you are judged on:

1. how you look in a bathing suit
2. how you look in an evening gown
3. how you answer a question (any question)

...really if you were raised to believe in
"opposite marriage", ya should have been
raised not to have photographs "like that"
taken.

i just think that a marriage between a man
& a woman is an OPPOSITE MARRIAGE .. TOO
FUNNY ... maybe thats what got the points
deducted!!

Oh ... and to those "panel of experts" that
say take politics out of the pageants ...
i say ... what else are these contestants
going to answer???

1. What do you want to be when you "grow up"
and why??

2. Do you think it is a good example for young
girls that this pageant focuses on how you:
a. look in a bathing suit
b. look in an evening gown

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: The Soloist

GO OUT AND WATCH THIS!!

There was something really special about this
movie. If you liked A BEAUTIFUL MIND, then you
will probably like this as well.

There were times when I forgot I was watching
Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr., and was just
watching Nathaniel Ayers and Steve Lopez
interacting with each other.

We left the theatre feeling sad, about the life
of Nathaniel Ayers, a really gifted person...but
with "demons" beyond his control.

But the movie itself was semi-uplifting, especially
with the voice over by RDJ, about just being with
each other (Lopez & Ayers) made them both better
people.

D. DAY = PART 2

Today was my second appointment for my
dental checkup. The right side of my
mouth had some major deep cleaning ~

My teeth feel soo clean & soo fresh!!

They had to do some touch-ups on the
left side... ofcourse ... since I had
my first appointment A MONTH AGO.

They still told me that i had to get
my wisdom tooth out ... eventually.

Anyways ... the next appointment is in
August. Hopefully, they find out that
i DONT need my wisdom tooth pulled
out!

I'm still not giving up my cravings
of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and
green tea frap from Starbucks!! All
which probably were contributors to
the "staining" ~

TWO CENTS

Stamps are increasing to .44 cents !!!

I have a book of .42 cent stamps, and now I
have to buy a book of .2 cent stamps!!!

If only the FOREVER stamps looked "nicer",
then i would have stocked up while it was
still a cheaper price.

Dear Network Executives,

Please, please, PLEASE, keep QUALITY
programs like CHUCK on TV!!!

Last night, I was laughing and CRYING
while watching Ugly Betty & Greys Anatomy.
The writing GREATLY improved on these
two shows. I was also happy about the
last LOST episode. But all the Past/Future
talk ... I would think something would
go wrong with the "space-time" laws.

Anyways, I really wish there was less
"Reality Programming" and more Scripted
Shows. I still feel very bitter with
ABC cancelling Pushing Daisies!!!

SWINE FLU & KAISER

I had to reschedule an appointment I had with
Kaiser Permanente for Tuesday, and was hoping
for a different date sometime next week or a
couple of days later.

BUT BECAUSE OF THE SWINE FLU, THEY HAD TO WAIT
FOR MONTH TO RESCHEDULE. THEY SAID IT WAS BETTER
THIS WAY, BECAUSE I WOULDN'T WANT TO BE IN THE
CLINIC WITH ALL THE SICK PEOPLE.

So I was wondering, what difference it would
have made if my physical was still on Tuesday!!
I would have still been around sick people.

But I guess it was better that way. To cancel
my appointment and wait for a month for some
of the "cases" to lessen.

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: Ghost's Of Girlfriends Past

HAPPY SWEET 16TH JASMINE ~

My god-daughter/niece just turned 16 today!!

I just can't believe how much time flies!!

I seem to think of all my nieces and nephews
as children still ~ the little 2, 4, 6 year
olds that just ask alot of questions and say
the funniest things!!

Now everyone is taller than me!! Well...except
Xavier, Matthew, Nathan, and Mia ~ they are now
the real "little kids" in the family.

AND HAPPY CINCO dE MAYO to everyone too!!

This whole month is full of birthdays
and holidays.

Missed Mass

I missed mass today!!!

So much for being good about going to Sunday
Mass. It's soo hard to get up after how many
hours of sleep.

I was on a roll with the writing though. Maybe
once the manuscript is done, I'll write a
"thank you" to God, for forgiving me and for
helping me overcome the writers block i've been
having for days.

at least i did my rosary ~

Sweet Tooth

i've been craving for sweets for awhile.

but after my last dental appointment, I might
need to cut down on chocolate until the next
appointment which is the 12th of the month.
my dentist already said ... you're wisdom
tooth might need to be pulled out!!

anyways ... after not having hot chocolate for
lent ... and drinking coffee instead ... my
hot cocoa cravyings have disappeared and now
i only want to have COFFEE!!

BUT I MISSED COCOA ~ AND ONLY FEEL LIKE MAKING
HOT COCOA ... JUST FOR THE "IDEA" OF HAVING
THE DRINK.

now ... only coffee picks me up in the morning!

It's a new month!! New topic too!!

April was a "bad" month for me ... I lagged
big time! So hopefully May will be much better.

And the topic is SWEET ~ so I'm sure I could
probably write about the theme in a daily basis.

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: State Of Play

LOCO CHICKEN .... LOCO PEOPLE

Today was El Pollo Loco's turn for free
grilled chicken. Instead of just one piece,
customers were given a leg & thigh and some
tortillas.

I had a feeling the line might be long,
especially for everyone getting out of
work. But free chicken, is free chicken.

I got on the bus at 6:25pm, reached EPL
at 6:30, where there was already a line
forming outside. I've never been to that
location so I didnt know just how big the
line inside will be. Around 6:45 I finally
got inside, 6:50 got to the front counter.
They were asking people for any extra order,
I just wanted the "free chicken", then the
guy asked for my name ... hmmm ....

next to the "order" line was the "pickup"
line where one of the employees was calling
out names...I didn't really want to give out
my name and was thinking of giving "Anastasia"
(if you watch Will & Grace, you'll know why im
chuckling) ... i couldn't make myself do it ...

so i gave "Lyn"....i got my receipt...and it
read LIN ... oh well ... shorter than Anastasia!!

LIN was finally called out and I got my
chicken...at 7pm...FINALLY ABLE TO LEAVE
THE PACKED PLACE ... AND THE LINE STILL
LONG OUTSIDE.

Anyways...I really don't know who "won" in
this competition. I'm still going to order
the original recipie at KFC. If this only
wasn't a competition and just a nice gesture
from both companies.

GRILLED CHICKEN WARS!!

KFC and El Pollo Loco are competing with
each other for the BEST GRILLED CHICKEN!!

Sure .... I love KFC's original recipie
FRIED chicken, but I'm glad they are going
the "healty" route and offering grilled
chicken too.

Today, KFC was offering a free PIECE OF
CHICKEN, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do
a bus ride, get just ONE piece, then go
on another bus ride...but, since it was
free...and i wasnt' driving or wasting gas,
I decided it was worth it.

Anyways, when i got there, there was already
a line...both the counter and drive through.
I got my free drumstick & decided to buy
2 buttermilk biscuits.

The chicken tasted REALLY GOOD!! I kinda wish
they gave out TWO free samples. I don't know
if they'll ever have a mix & match chicken
special ... but if was able to get a original
recipie & grilled chicken meal ... I'll be
very happy!!

Can't wait for the free chicken tomorrow at
El Pollo Loco!!

FAREWELL ANOOP!!

I'm going to stop watching American Idol!!!

For double elimination night, Anoop and Lil
had the lowest points ... Anoop placed #6 !!

I think the judges wasted their save on Matt
last week ... if they didn't think he'll win,
why did they use the save?!?!?!

If there was no double elimination, Anoop
would have placed in the top 5 ~ but Matt
was safe this week ** UGH ** NOT ANOOP !!!

I wish him the best of luck. He has a great
voice and I'm sure he'll be a success!!

So I'm done with AI this season!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: 17 Again

We're not big Zac Efron fans, never seen
any HSM movies, but we were excited to
see Matthew Perry on the big screen again.

I must say, this was a REALLY GOOD movie.
Wonderfully written, and the actors are
REALLY FUNNY TOO.

This will most definitely go on my
collection.

Don't miss it!! Thomas Lennon's character,
Ned Gold, has the funniest scenes !!

TRANQUILO - Vitamin Water

We missed watching this movie two weeks
ago because the theatre had a BAD print.

Today, nothing else interested us, so we
decided to try to go to this movie.

SHOULD HAVE WAITED FOR THE DVD!!

I don't know why there had to have soo
much VULGER LANGUAGE. The movie concept
itself wasfunny enough. And I wish Jaime
Pressly had more "interesting" character.

The best part of the movie was the end.

STATE TAXES!!

I'm getting a STATE REFUND!!

I usually have to PAY STATE TAXES!! So I put off
working on the forms, thanks to Turbo Tax ~ I just
found out that I'll actually be getting money back.

IF ONLY I DID THIS EARLIER. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT
FOR AWHILE.

I DID NOT KNOW:

that there was an EASTER MONDAY !!!

how BAD can I be that I didn't know ~

sure, i don't go to Sunday mass regularly,
or that i may, in the past, ate chicken
(which i didnt consider "real" meat) on a
Friday during Lent ~ but EASTER MONDAY ?!?!

This was the first time i heard of it.

Actually, someone gave me a very nice
calendar and i just noticed the
"Easter Monday" for April 13th ...

Must take a poll on how many people i
know knew about this ..

Picture Book

I'm just soo bummed that Polaroid has stopped
making instant cameras/film.

I found a website that will let me "self publish"
a photography book. So hopefully, I can buy
enough instant film, and take enough "worthy"
pictures!!

Anywas, I also got a new haircut .. my hair now
kinda looks like the artwork on this blog. If
only it was with a dog/puppy instead of a cat.

I'll post "real" pictures soon ~

I changed my mind about having a specific blog
topic for each day.

I really dont think I could keep at a specific
subject ... how many "I DIDNT KNOW THIS" could
I post and what if something else interesting

PALM SUNDAY

Every year, I try making "stuff" out of
the palms I get during Palm Sunday. I
remember in the past, I would try to make
crosses out of the palms.

I've seen crosses that are weaved really
nice.

I've forgotten how to make them, so I had
to go online to try to make the simplest
ones.

One more week until the chocolate bingeing!!

Not too simple for me.

It's a new month!! A new theme for NABLOPOMO:

"GROWING UP" ~ I still have no idea how to

i totally lagged last month ... i guess i had
"given up" in the middle of March ... this will

VITAMINS FOR MARCH MADNESS

I went grocery shopping today, and as usual,
i had to get some Vitamin Water.

I was craving for REVIVE and noticed the
copy had changed...something for March
Madness was on the bottle ~

I'm not an NCAA fan at all (or NBA), but
I guess REVIVE was the flavor of choice.

is it just us or does life seem to go into
overtime during NCAA "March Madness"? whether
you're a freshman or senior (citizen), student
or armchair coach, cringing over 64 games of
buzzer beaters and bracket-busting upsets can
take its toll.

so if you are studying up on your selections
(uh, we mean biology) or at work tracking your
bracketology (minimize-your boss is coming!),
revive to survive with this bottle. it's

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: Duplicity

We didnt plan on watching this movie today. We
were actually going to watch I Love You Man, but
when we got to the theatre, we found out that they
cancelled the showing because something was wrong
with the film.

Maybe it's a sign. That ILYM was going to be
bad. Oh, well. I hope that they get a better
quality film for next week. Unless we decide
to see another movie instead.

Anyways, we were pleasantly suprised with the
movie. The "twist" in the end was really nice
and I did not see it coming. Clive Owen is very
sexy in the movie ... and Julia Roberts was great
as usual.

I'm kinda interested in reading the script.

Amercian Idol Lost ... and Lost

I'm soo glad Anoop is still in American Idol.
He was by far the best performance on Tuesday.

I really can't stand Adam Lambert ~ he really
isn't "singing" in my opinion. Alexis Grace
should have stayed .. and not have lost.

SPEAKING OF LOST:

Why isn't Sun "living' in the same year
as Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid.

And why is Locke (alive) in the same group
as her ~ questions, questions, questions!!

I just want to know how long Sawyer & Juliet
have been "living" together ~ I still want him
to be with Kate.

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: Race To Witch Mountain

It's another Wednesday, which means its another movie
night. The only "worthy" movie to watch today was
Race To Witch Mountain.

I remember watching Escape To Witch Mountain, many, many
years ago ~ and was interested on how this movie was
going to turn out.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was also in it, so we
were excited to see him. I was just hoping Carla
Gugino would have a better character (im still
trying to clean out any Watchman memories)~

Anyways, the three of us were the only NON Parent
& kids in the theatre. Most of the laughs came
from the kids.

Overall .. it was a nice "family" movie ... I could
have waited until it went on DVD.

Friday The 13th

I just looked at the calendar year and realized
that there are 3 Friday the 13th ~

I've never been superstitious about "this day" ~
just think its kinda "cool" that it exist. It's
odd too that some high rise buildings don't have
an official "13th" floor and skip it and have a
"14th" floor instead. Same as room numbers ~
some places skip a room#x13!!!

When I have a business of my own, on this "rare"
occurance ... it'll be a day off ...

Letdowns & Eliminations

I was really looking forward to the elimination
episode for American Idol tonight ~ I really hope
the twist they had for today was that the judges
are going to be the ones deciding who of the
bottom two was going to leave.

Very disappointed to know that it was going
to be for just ONE save .. until the top 5.
Then two people gets eliminated in the next
episode.

Anyways ... I'm glad the Anoop wasn't eliminated
but was sad the Megan also stayed. Just wondering
in what order the bottom four was??

This was kind of a letdown ~ I just hope Anoop
has a better performance next week. I was kind
on upset that when Alexis performed, the judges
had just one word comments. And Paula's "don't
oversing" comment ... why didnt she say that to
Adam after his performance. Because if anyone
was oversinging .. it was him.

Do I even want to continue the whole season??

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: Watchmen

I had "no choice" on what movie to see today.

If it was up to me it would have either been
Paul Blart or Hotels For Dogs. After watching
most of the good movies out, Watchmen would
be the next one to watch.

But why was I not really looking forward to this.
I love superhero movies ~ but I really do not know
who the Watchmen are.

I did not like this movie! It was WAY TOO LONG!
Didn't mind the violence ~ the "superhero" sex scene
was probably put in the movie to "wake up" people
who were probably falling asleep ~ did not need to
know 30 minutes (seemed like it) back story of
Dr. Manhattan and how Rorschach got his mask was
never explained.

I felt for a movie that lasted for close to 3 hours,
it seem incomplete, just remove all dialogue and
keep the score and soundtrack maybe I wouldn't have
mind. The long expository dialogue just annoyed me.

WHEN IT HAPPENS

Tonight and tomorrow are lottery nights, and
I just realized that when I win, I'm going to
have a problem on where exactly to put the
money when it happens.

Most of the banks only secure up to $250,000 ~
what do i do when i open up as many accounts
possible ... I don't think I want to put more
than that in each of them.

Stuff the money under the mattresses??

I hear that there is an increase of sales
for Safes ~ maybe I could buy one of those.

I love movies that has a safe hidden behind
a picture frame or somewhere in the basement
or attic.

I wonder if they come in Pink.

I need to stop wasting my time watching Reruns
of Gilmore Girls and Jon & Kate Plus 8

I should really focus on writing & reading.

What I'm enjoying though is American Idol Rewind.
Thank goodness for the TV GUIDE channel for
bringing back Season 4 with Bo Bice!

I was watching reruns (ugh) of ABDC and when
I heard Pon de Replay I
wanted to be able to shake Rhianna and tell her
that she doesnt need Chris Brown and listen to
Oprah!!

Daylight Savings

I never understood the purpose of Daylight Savings Time.

Spring Forward. Fall Backwards.

WHY, WHY , WHY??

We never had to change time in Guam. I remember
whenever my older sister and brother living in
California would call us in Guam, I would ask
what time was it there:

California 2:30pm on Sunday ~
Guam 7:30am on Monday ~

So ... Fall arrives ... and instead of Guam being
17 hours in advance, we were just 16 hours ahead!!

Now I'm living in California and I have to remember
to change the clocks. Lose an hour of sleep too.

Chocolate Temptation

Several kids in my apartment complex went door to door
selling chocolate bars for fundraising ... I think it
was to go to Catalina Island or something.

I gave up chocolate for Lent!!

What was I suppose to do??

The three of them were really sweet, and I don't
know if I was just mesmarized with all the
selections that they had, how could I have
passed. What would I have said to them.

Then I thought ... almsgiving ... so I gave in
and bought 3 bars ... its a good cause ... and
I could lock them up and wait until Easter.

I DID NOTHING WRONG, SINCE I DID NOT CONSUME
ANYTHING.

Congratulations to Anoop!

I'm sooo glad (and suprised) that there is going
to be a TOP 13 on American Idol. When Jasmine was
selected ... I thought no!! Not a decision between
Anoop and Matt!! Then the judges said they picked
Matt ... and Simon started to talk to Anoop ... and
I knew it ... there was going to be a "twist" ~ I
was HAPPY, HAPPY.

I guess voting "nonstop" everyday worked!!

I really think Lil Rounds had deserved
one of the spots. But I think Jorge and

Sorry, I know that he is blind, but if
you closed your eyes (sorry) and really
listened to his voice, it was just a
regualar guy singing. And the judges,
they didnt say YOU HAD GREAT VOCALS
TONIGHT ... ~ symphathy votes, i'm telling
you. Everyone else was judged on their
vocals ... he was judged on his disability.

Jorge was BETTER than Scott. But I think
the whole "accent" issue maybe got votes
for him.

The two people who I felt should have locked

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: CORALINE

I had wanted to see the "regular" version of
this movie, and not the 3D version ... We
were out of luck!!

AMC THEATRES kept the 3D version but not the
regular one.

I should have saved my "Free Ticket" and used
it for this movie instead. The 3D version was
$2 more ~ oh well ~ I saved money not buying my
Buncha Crunch today.

Anyways, I thought the movie was alright. I
like animation ... but I found some scenes
quite distrubing, and found myself cringing.

2. "nudity"
3. "violence"

It was interesting ... I might buy it for my
collection.

March Resolutions

Okay.

Must accomplish several goals.

I should have finished reading about
4 books during last month, but only
finished ONE!!

I read the book in a weeks time,
but got really lazy during the end
of the month.

I know I'm crazy to do some recreational
reading, when I'm suppose to be writing
and finishing the novel.

I was thinking of joing some kind of
workout class also. Yoga/Pilates ~
But I don't want too much money when
I already have DVDs. I just think with
a class setting, I'll be able to really
DO SOMETHING!

Since its LENT I'm trying had to GIVE UP
chocolate ~

For almsgiving ... I really should try
to tip the baristas in Starbucks & maybe
at the BBQ place that I get my takeout.
Have not been giving a tip to places that
I order take-out ... should I? Since I'm
not actually dining in.

I would like to do some community service.
But I don't know if I'll have the extra
time.

Stuff On TV

I've been lagging on reading more books
since I'm splitting most of my NON-WORK
time on writing and catching up on some
of the shows I've been recording in my
computer.

I've been bad about not watching/recording
Secret Life ... American Teen
is she, or is she not keeping the baby!!

I've fallen asleep during HEROES so I really
did not understand the last episode with
the H.R.G. and the flashbacks.

I'm excited about LOST, maybe it's because
they mentioned GUAM. But I'm not upset
anymore regarding new characters.

And then there is American Idol:



Yup .. what's her name is definitely going
to be a wild card. since the 3rd slot when
to the man in the mirror guy.

I'm still upset that MYSPACE was used in
H.J.N.T.I.Y ~ and now Ugly Betty had to
use FACEBOOK ~ Hello !!!!

Because CBS decided to cancel THE EX LIST
(i still feel bitter about that) I have to watch
Re-Runs on Fridays --> but last night was a good
night. I was able to see episoded of ABDC ...
and I'm still hoping for QUEST CREW to win ...
even if BEAT FREAKS are totally great too.

MUST STOP WATCHING TOO MUCH TV!!

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY

Dear Universe,

It's me again.
It's lottery day again.

I guess I was somewhat selfish on Tuesday.

This time I want to be clear. I want our
group to win the Jackpot. Not just myself.
That would be too much. Now I understand
why you did what you did.

So, when the winning balls are selected for
the $171 Mega Millions ... think about us
in California.

Yes we have our jobs. But once we win.
Our jobs can be other peoples. So, its
a win-win situation.

I'll just need $1 million for the house.

Church & Prayers

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday and I made sure
I went to mass and got my ashes.

My older sister texted me in the morning to
remind me to go to church.

I felt bad not going to Sunday mass for awhile.

Anyways, the church was full ~ and the sermon
was the same as last Ash Wednesday.

The priest was funny. He said that today
was one of the days that people come to mass
just for the precious (think of whats his name
from the TLOTR saying precious) ashes.

I want to be really good about Lent this year.

And I should really pray more. Sometimes I wonder
if I write and read, watch TV and movies, more
than I pray.

But I have a good feeling about Lent this year.
Maybe, with everyone doing good and praying,
things in the world will be better.

I almost ate some bacon!! But I was
reminded "no meat" today ~ thank goodness
I didn't have chocolate chip pancakes.

Anyways ... I already know what I'm giving
up for Lent. It's going to be tough, but
I know I can make it.

READING OR WRITING

I just realized that I might not write
as much if I'm busy trying to read
100 books and watching the AFI 100 movies ~

Unless I read during "work" ~ or write
during "work" ... I might be able to
succeed with doing all three at the same
time.

It all depends on "work" ~

If only writing was the only work i had
to do.

If only reading was the only work I had
to do too!!

MOVIE MONDAY: He's Just Not That Into You

Since Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, and none of
us has the time to go out.

Movie Monday has returned!



I would have to say that I liked Confessions of a Shopaholic more. This movie wasn't as good.

But it wasn't bad either.

It the movie was just based on Gigi and
Alex ... great ... all the other couples
could have been an entire short story
series itself.

I did enjoy Beth & Neil.

I didn't enjoy the outdated reference of
"My Space" with Mary. And the guy she
ends up with at the end of the movie ..
WHY!!

Was not at all interested in the Anna/Ben/Janine
affair ~

I liked how Gigi was watching SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL
and quoted the movie ... then referred Alex to Watts
and her to Keith. How cute was that.

Still debating whether or not to buy this.

Oscar Night!!!!

I think I watched enough movies this
year and feel confident about my "picks"
for the winners.

I'm still really disappointed in
The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.
Even if I really LOVED Slumdog Millionair,
I would have wanted a reason for Brad Pitt
to win. Now, not having watched
The Wrestler or Milk, I would rather
have Mickey Rourke or Sean Penn win.

TV Stuff

I told myself that I wasn't going to watch
American Idol until the Top 12 actually
starts performing.

HOLLYWOOD WEEK GOT ME HOOKED!!

Anyways I kinda knew that two of them
would make it ... now I'm hoping that
Anoop gets the wild card.

My favorite thing of the night was the
fact that GUAM was mentioned!!

Thank goodness the storylines are improving!
I just hope the producers/writers DO NOT ADD

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: Confessions Of A Shopaholic

I had wanted to see one more "Oscar Nominated Film"
today ... but decided to watch someting "fun"
instead.

I was debating The Wrestler? Or Shopaholic?

Shopaholic won!!

This is an absolutely adorable movie. None of
us had read the books, but now, I will definitely
read it.

Isla Fisher is wonderful in this movie.

Contacts Exam

After "researching" and making calls,
I finally decided to go to Sears Optical
to get my Contacts Exam.

They were suprised that I had Kaiser insurance
and didnt go there. I informed them that the
exam was going to cost me more than $100. All
the other places cost more too.

Lens Express: $115
JCPenny Optical: $85-$100

Since Sears was close by, I didnt mind "just"
paying $100 ~ but after the exam she only
charged me $90 !! yay!!

She had also asked me what solution I used
and I said im currently using RENU (on sale)
but I usually COMPLETE or OPTI CLEAN. She
said to only use COMPLETE and OPTI CLEAN
because RENU had a "problem" with infections.

Time to change my solution.

Two More Days To Go!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: Curious Case ... Benjamin Button

The movie is FINALLY at time where its showing AFTER
WORK ... and not at a time where everyone is rushing
to get to the theatre to make it on time. This happens
because we dont have the same schedule.

LAST WEEK ... WE WERE RUNNING WAY TO CLOSE.

I was able to get a FREE MOVIE ticket (for next week)
and decided to pass on buying the FUZE tea today.
We didnt want to drink to much and go on a restroom
break. This was going to be a long movie and didnt
want to miss anything.

Anyways ... what seemed like a LIFETIME later. The
movie was over.

I've come to the conclusion that SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE
will (SHOULD) win the Oscar. And that this movie
deserves the MAKEUP and CINEMATOGRAPHY categories.

The visuals were wonderful. But the story itself
didnt captivate me. The concept, about a person
that ages backwards...is of course...really
interesting - other than that - I wanted the movie
to end, because I was probably just bothered by
the pace of the movie .. and way TOO MANY EXTRA
characters to hold an interest for me.

EXCEPT MR. "I'VE BEEN STRUCK BY LIGHTING"

I feel really disappointed.

BIRTHDAY VS. VALENTINES DAY

It's that time of the year again where
I turn another year older, and have to
think of WHAT TO DO plans on the 14th.

Last year was nice that my friends had
treated me to WICKED. It didnt even
occur to us that it was a HOLIDAY, we
just enjoyed the show.

I already decided that I really dont
like having birthday dinners in restaurants
anymore since its full of people having
Valentines Day dinner. I find myself thinking
'ITS NOT MY SPECIAL DAY' !!!!

I hate getting the HAPPY BIRTHDAY-VALENTINE
cards ... whoever thought of that had not
realized that they are screwing someone over
and getting one card less!!

The rest of my life is going to consist of
my kids & grandchildren wondering whether
they spend time with me on my birthday or
with they significant others for Valentines
day.

AND I DONT LIKE SHARING. AND I LIKE THE
BETTER GIFTS. (IM SOO BAD) OH, AND TO BE
A EVEN BIGGER "BITCH" ... I STILL HAVE TO
GIVE MY MANFRIEND A GIFT TOO!!

I told myself that I wouldn't read anything
"celebrity drama" related. But this past
week, I couldn't escape it.

I seriously dont think there is anything wrong
with Jessica Simpson and her weight gain. She
is still pretty and can sing. That's more
important, right?!?

The outfit ... if she was still "skinny" ...
might still have gotten her in the news.

As for Christian Bale ... I never thought he
could be a "moody" person. But I soo enjoyed
James Liptons "re-enactment" on the Conan O'brien
show!!

I don't know how long I've had the channel,
but the other night, instead of using the
channel up and channel down button, I decided
to individually enter the channel number instead.

Most of them were the Spanish channels that I
didnt put on memory, otherS were static ... then
... channel 43 ... i found the BRAVO CHANNEL!!

ADD TO MEMORY PLEASE!

I think THE UNIVERSE heard me ask for this
channel!! NOW Please, Time Warner Cable,
can you now give me OXYGEN?!?!?

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: New In Town

I should have waited for this to come out
in DVD!! I passed watching Benjamin Button
because I thought we would have missed the
first couple of minutes.

Anyways ... thank goodness Harry Connick Jr.
was there ~ i would have not had a reason to
watch this.

The movie wasn't bad ... but I thought that
the script could have been better. I already
knew halfway how "the company will be saved" ~

Now we need to find another day to watch
Benjamin Button!!
