New Tub !!

After months of a chipped bath tub ~

After weeks of a clogged bath tub ~

I decided to fill out a maintenance request form to fix the clog .... and maybe reglaze the tub.

And it was granted !!

I really wanted to be able to unclog the tub myself ... but I just couldn't do it.  So I filled out the forms ... I wasn't sure they would actually reglaze my tub ... but the apt managers came through.

DIRTY DIRTY SINKS!!!

It has happened again!!!

I thought everything was fine with maintenance issues in my apartment and I come home to "water" overflowing from my Kitchen & Bathroom sinks.

GROSS! GROSS! GROSS!!

I finally met the current apartment manager, Tom, and he was very helpful in getting rid of the mess ~ mopping the floors, dumping the water, etc.

He's going to have to work on the pipes tomorrow, and also the slow draining water in my tub.

But seriously...maybe this is a sign that I need to move.

The Final TUB Work

My apartment manager called to inform me that the LAST step regarding my bath tub is the REGLAZING.

She said that after the coating is placed on the tub, I won't be able to take a shower for two days!!!

Thank goodness for work!! I could always shower there.

Can't wait for the work to be finalzed. Maybe, just maybe, I won't have to move.

Notice To Enter Dwelling.Part 2

I'm getting new windows for my bathroom and a new Shower/Tub Surround is going to be installed!!

When I came home after work I saw a "Notice To Enter Dwelling" on my door. I guess I was right about my apartment manager wanting to fix my bathroom.

Finally!! After years/months of hating my window and hating the crack on the wall of my shower/tub area.

The workers are suppose to enter from 9:00am to 4:00pm ~ Since I work at 11:00am tomorrow, I might as well leave the apt early.

I'm soo excited. It's suppose to be a 2-day work ~ I'm just hoping I could shower on Friday...with whatever work is done.

Clean Ceiling

For some reason, I think the Maintenace staff of my apartment does not know (or want to) how to turn on my floor lamp.

I noticed my blinds were open when I came home. I guess that was the only way to get light in while they inspected my smoke detector!

I also noticed a strong chlorine smell that was coming out of my bathroom. THEY CLEANED UP THE CEILING ABOVE MY TUB!! I blame being short, and not being able to actually wipe down the dust/dirt/moisture that accumulated above my tub. But it was clean, with a strong chlorine smell.

I wonder what they thought of the crack on the wall, as well as the rust on my window lock.

Ack. Can't have everything right. One can only wish.

Notice To Enter Dwelling

It's time for my smoke detector to be checked again!! My Apartment Manager posted notices on our doors, for something they will do tomorrow.

Which means Management is going to be checking my apartment for anything that needs to be fixed too. So I'm going to be cleaning my apartment to make sure It's appropriate when Maintenance and Management comes in. I don't want them to think I'm a slob (which I'm not).

The notice also states "we will be checking Air Conditioners as well as water leaks." Have they even decided to install an AC unit in my apartment, or do I have to request that myself?!?!

New Floors

I'm in need of a new vacuum.

I'm in need of new carpet.
I'm in need of hardwood floors.

About two months ago I was doing an apartment
search for my area ... and I found a listing
for my apartment complex.

There were photographs of one unit that looked
MUCH BETTER than mine!! It even had hardwood
floors!!

Anyways, for a couple of days, I kept hearing
loud noises coming from my next door neighbor.
It sounded like maintenance work going on. The
next day they had their door opened I saw them
installing NEW "wood" tiles!

How I wish I also had new floors!!

Maintenance Work Completed!!

I can finally wash dishes with a "working" faucet!!

My front door now has a fixed door knob!! No longer
paranoid that I'll pull it out.

And the door knob in my kitchen closet is finally
attached!

Just hope that I dont need to fill out anymore forms.

January Maintenance Request

The knob on my front door seem like its about
to come loose ~ rather it is loose ~ and seems
like its about to come out.

The door knob on my kitchen closet has been
broken for weeks.

Water has been flowing irregularly from my kitchen
faucet...for about two months.

It is time to fill out a maintenance request form.

Working Shower!!

For the past couple of days, my shower wasn't working.
I had thought that maybe I needed to "clean" the shower
head of any debris that might have accumulated. I actually
bought POLIDENT because I saw something in the HGTV about
cleaning shower heads because of hard water residue, etc.

I used the POLIDENT thinking it'll work.

Nothing happened! I actually removed the shower head but
no water came out of the pipes! I didn't want to fill out
another WORK ORDER since I hate maintenance coming in my
apartment.

After almost a week of "not using" the shower, I was happy
to find water coming out of the shower head!!! No need to
contact my apartment manager!!

But seriously ... this is another reason I need to move!!

Window Waterfall

This morning I woke up and noticed that water was
dripping from my bathroom window. I became paranoid
because I noticed the water LAST NIGHT before I went
to bed.

I remember this happening before when my upstairs
neighbor would take a shower. But I think this was
dripping overnight.

I knew I should have written a maintenace request
a long time ago. It probably got worse. Anyways,
I called the apartment manager about the problem,
and she mentioned it might be because the "solar
panels" ~

When I got home, no more dripping.

Apartment Repairs

Thank goodness for the maintenance guys that did
work in my apartment!

1. no more dripping kitchen faucet
2. new paint in my bathroom window
3. living room window is fixed
4. my front door closes easily!!

they did soo much. im soo glad. i dont know which
one im most happy about. the new paint on my bathroom
window. or not having to struggle to close my front
door. i also no longer have to cringe when i open
and close my living room window. the wood that was
breaking apart was sealed. They fixed it all!!

Notice To Enter Dwelling: Part 2

Today there was a "notice to enter dwelling" posted
on my door. The reason was "to make necessary or
agreed repairs, decorations, alterations, or
imporvements."

I'm just hoping the minor drip in my kitchen faucet
is what they are going to fix.

Clogged Sink: Part 2

I woke up at around 2am, needing to go to the restroom,
and heard dripping coming from my kitchen. It was one
of those "dripping sounds" that sounded like the drip
was hitting water ... and not just the sink itself ...
so I go the kitchen ... AND FIND OUT THAT WATER HAD RISEN
AGAIN !!!!

It was 2am ... and I was half-asleep ... I wasn't planning
on dumping the water to and from the sink to my bathroom.
So I went back to bed. Dreading what it'll turn out like
in the morning ... like in 3 hours ...

So I'm still half asleep -- and about 15 minutes later ...
I hear water "draining out" of the sink. I get up, and
check the kitchen to find out that ALL the water had
drained out!!

I was extremely relieved, but I just don't know what
to expect in a daily basis. I don't even know if I should
fill out a work order. If the sink is empty, the maintenance
person will probably think nothing is wrong.

This is why I really need to move!!

Working Sink

My sink is working!!

I finally get to wash my dishes and
pots & pans!

I'm just glad water didn't overflow,
that happened last year and I had to
throw out my area carpet.

Clogged Sink: Day Two

My sink is still clogged!
And just like last time...water is rising up!

When I left this morning I made sure the sink was empty:


and now ... this is what I came home to!!


So tomorrow, I'll email these pictures and call the office,
but I just want this fixed ASAP!

Clogged Sink!! Again ~

I've got another reason to move out of my apartment!
Once again, my kitchen sink is clogged...and water
is slowly rising again!!

I haven't even used the sink for two days!! And now,
right after dinner, I couldn't wash because the sink
was clogged. Not much water, but this morning, it
rose up just "a bit" ~

I turned in a Maint Request form this morning, just
wondering how soon it'll be fixed!!

A friend of mine let me use his Westside Rentals account
to find an apartment, it turns out that the apartments
right next to my bus stop was listed!!

Studio / $725 a month / Fridge / Laundry on site / paid
partial utilities / Air Conditioner / 1 YEAR LEASE ~

The price is nice ~ just hoping the place is LARGER than
my current studio ~ Also, I don't know if it is too late
to tell my Apt. Manager that I'll leave on June, or if
this Apt. will still be available in July ~

Sink Clogged

My Sink is clogged and now have to wash my
plates, pans, etc. ~ IN MY BATHROOM!!

Not only is it clogged, but everytime I empty
water from the sink, I've noticed that water
would be coming up, the next hour and so forth.

It must be from the people living upstairs.
I've already submitted my Maintenance request
via THE OFFICE MAIL SLOT, FAX, and EMAIL.

Hopefully it gets fixed soon!!
