How To Get Out Of A Rut?

I was clearing some of the clutter on my desk and found a folder full of paperworks for my apartment.  I found a "Increase In Rent" letter ... from May 2009 ... which is my current rent.  I should be happy that my rent hasn't increased in the last four years ... and in March (if I still live here) it will be 10 years in this apartment !!

Sounds impressive ... but also sad ... A LOT OF SADNESS !!

I'd love to move ... I know there are other places that probably cost less ... but I'm just too settled here ... and I'm MAD at myself for being too comfortable.

I keep thinking of moving out of this apartment, and for some reason, I really want to have a small area to garden, or a nice view/window where I could put some flowers or plants.

It's already the first of the month ... and writing this rent check does not make me happy.

I want to be able to write everyday, and I hope reading other blogs listed in the NaBloPoMo site will help me.

Want To Move ... Soon!!

I absolutely need to move!!

Lately, I've been super annoyed with the people upstairs. Walking
and running andwhatever they are doing late at night. Even
playing with their instruments (im talking MUSICAL instruments).

My neighbors next door too. Loud TV, smoking right outside my
window, kids yelling and running and leaving their bikes near
the door.

I used to not care. It didn't bother me.

I just want out.
A new apartment.
Maybe new furniture too.

Oh please.
Let this day be the day I win the lottery!

New Floors

I'm in need of a new vacuum.

I'm in need of new carpet.
I'm in need of hardwood floors.

About two months ago I was doing an apartment
search for my area ... and I found a listing
for my apartment complex.

There were photographs of one unit that looked
MUCH BETTER than mine!! It even had hardwood
floors!!

Anyways, for a couple of days, I kept hearing
loud noises coming from my next door neighbor.
It sounded like maintenance work going on. The
next day they had their door opened I saw them
installing NEW "wood" tiles!

How I wish I also had new floors!!

Working Shower!!

For the past couple of days, my shower wasn't working.
I had thought that maybe I needed to "clean" the shower
head of any debris that might have accumulated. I actually
bought POLIDENT because I saw something in the HGTV about
cleaning shower heads because of hard water residue, etc.

I used the POLIDENT thinking it'll work.

Nothing happened! I actually removed the shower head but
no water came out of the pipes! I didn't want to fill out
another WORK ORDER since I hate maintenance coming in my
apartment.

After almost a week of "not using" the shower, I was happy
to find water coming out of the shower head!!! No need to
contact my apartment manager!!

But seriously ... this is another reason I need to move!!

Clogged Sink!! Again ~

I've got another reason to move out of my apartment!
Once again, my kitchen sink is clogged...and water
is slowly rising again!!

I haven't even used the sink for two days!! And now,
right after dinner, I couldn't wash because the sink
was clogged. Not much water, but this morning, it
rose up just "a bit" ~

I turned in a Maint Request form this morning, just
wondering how soon it'll be fixed!!

A friend of mine let me use his Westside Rentals account
to find an apartment, it turns out that the apartments
right next to my bus stop was listed!!

Studio / $725 a month / Fridge / Laundry on site / paid
partial utilities / Air Conditioner / 1 YEAR LEASE ~

The price is nice ~ just hoping the place is LARGER than
my current studio ~ Also, I don't know if it is too late
to tell my Apt. Manager that I'll leave on June, or if
this Apt. will still be available in July ~
