This was a very funny movie!!

I didn't think I'd like it this much, and only watched it today because of the M.S.J.

So free movie & free drink ~ plus free popcorn from my Movie Watchers Rewards ~ this was a fun Sunday out.

I love all the characters, and the actors were wonderful.

I just thought it was odd how they just took the "pills" even though it wasn't theirs!! But ... I guess thats what made this movie funny.

I wonder how the days have gone by soo fast. It's already May. I feel like I want to change the layout of my blog. Get a hair cut. Move to a new apartment.

The Backup Plan

I thought that this was a cute movie!

I sometimes have a problem with J Lo movies, where boy meets girl and IMMEDIATELY fall for each other.

But this is the movies, and I guess that is the way it is.

I liked the movie, but not enough to be part of my collection. I don't think I have any J LO movies in my collection.

DIRTY DIRTY SINKS!!!

It has happened again!!!

I thought everything was fine with maintenance issues in my apartment and I come home to "water" overflowing from my Kitchen & Bathroom sinks.

GROSS! GROSS! GROSS!!

I finally met the current apartment manager, Tom, and he was very helpful in getting rid of the mess ~ mopping the floors, dumping the water, etc.

He's going to have to work on the pipes tomorrow, and also the slow draining water in my tub.

But seriously...maybe this is a sign that I need to move.

I could not believe how packed the church was today!! I knew I should have arrived half an hour ealier.

Anyways...Lent is over, and I still feel awful that I didn't really give up anything.

Next year .... next year for sure.

The Final TUB Work

My apartment manager called to inform me that the LAST step regarding my bath tub is the REGLAZING.

She said that after the coating is placed on the tub, I won't be able to take a shower for two days!!!

Thank goodness for work!! I could always shower there.

Can't wait for the work to be finalzed. Maybe, just maybe, I won't have to move.

Library Opening Hours

I wanted to go to the 7:30am mass this morning, but I just couldnt get out of bed. Today is the day Maintenance will be working on my bathroom window and tub area so I wanted to step out of my apartment early.

I ended up leaving my apartment at 8:20am ~ I think I saw the two men that might be working on my apartment ~ they were hanging out in the parking lot drinking some coffee.

Anyways, I caught the 8:40am bus and headed toward Downtown Burbank. I decided to get some coffee from Starbucks and then checkout the library. The Central Library opens at 9:30am and there was already a crowd waiting.

I was hoping to get THE NANNY RETURNS since that was the only location where the book was available. I then had to catch a bus at 9:45am to get to the Buena Vista library location just because I had work at 11:00am and wanted to be closer.

Anyways, when I got to the second library, another crowd was waiting for it to open at 10:00am ~ I didnt know how many people were there that early...for opening. And for both locations, it was first come ~ first serve ... in getting an available computer.

Oh, well... at least I got the book ... and I didnt have to wait awhile for an available computer this early!

Notice To Enter Dwelling.Part 2

I'm getting new windows for my bathroom and a new Shower/Tub Surround is going to be installed!!

When I came home after work I saw a "Notice To Enter Dwelling" on my door. I guess I was right about my apartment manager wanting to fix my bathroom.

Finally!! After years/months of hating my window and hating the crack on the wall of my shower/tub area.

The workers are suppose to enter from 9:00am to 4:00pm ~ Since I work at 11:00am tomorrow, I might as well leave the apt early.

I'm soo excited. It's suppose to be a 2-day work ~ I'm just hoping I could shower on Friday...with whatever work is done.

Clean Ceiling

For some reason, I think the Maintenace staff of my apartment does not know (or want to) how to turn on my floor lamp.

I noticed my blinds were open when I came home. I guess that was the only way to get light in while they inspected my smoke detector!

I also noticed a strong chlorine smell that was coming out of my bathroom. THEY CLEANED UP THE CEILING ABOVE MY TUB!! I blame being short, and not being able to actually wipe down the dust/dirt/moisture that accumulated above my tub. But it was clean, with a strong chlorine smell.

I wonder what they thought of the crack on the wall, as well as the rust on my window lock.

Ack. Can't have everything right. One can only wish.

Notice To Enter Dwelling

It's time for my smoke detector to be checked again!! My Apartment Manager posted notices on our doors, for something they will do tomorrow.

Which means Management is going to be checking my apartment for anything that needs to be fixed too. So I'm going to be cleaning my apartment to make sure It's appropriate when Maintenance and Management comes in. I don't want them to think I'm a slob (which I'm not).

The notice also states "we will be checking Air Conditioners as well as water leaks." Have they even decided to install an AC unit in my apartment, or do I have to request that myself?!?!

Alice In Wonderland

I really wish I caught the AM Matinee for this movie!!

This was not worth the $10 I spent, and I'm glad I didn't spend extra $$ to watch this in IMAX/3D ~

The story wasn't great, but the visuals were "nice" ~

I can't really grade the acting, because I guess the characters are suppose to be "interesting" ~ I much prefer the Disney animation.

Kinda disappointed.

Jeff Bridges...you desevered that Oscar.

I absolutely loved this movie.

Wonderful characters! Wonderful Story!

I might actually buy the soundtrack.

Want To Move ... Soon!!

I absolutely need to move!!

Lately, I've been super annoyed with the people upstairs. Walking
and running andwhatever they are doing late at night. Even
playing with their instruments (im talking MUSICAL instruments).

My neighbors next door too. Loud TV, smoking right outside my
window, kids yelling and running and leaving their bikes near
the door.

I used to not care. It didn't bother me.

I just want out.
A new apartment.
Maybe new furniture too.

Oh please.
Let this day be the day I win the lottery!

New Month!!

It is March!!

My goodness, the third month of the year!!

March 19th brings 7 years for me working in
Burbank ~ I'm very lucky to have a job, but
I want more.

Is that selfish??

And I really have to start working out!!!

Cop Out

I wasn't planning on watching this movie, but
since I've seen everything interesting already,
we decided this was the only thing to watch.

Will not watch "Shutter Island" due to the fact
that I'm a "wimp" when it comes to scary movies.

And since I wasn't technically paying for the
movie, "Cop Out" was the only choice.

It was soo funny.

Funny & clever writing.
The actors ... every single one of them was funny.

I'm actually going to buy this movie when it
comes out on DVD. If I'm in a sad mood, this
will definitely pick me up.

Laughed soo much, from beginning to end.

Happy 77th Birthday To My Mom!!

My mom turns 77 today!!!!

She inspires me soo much!! 3 more years until she
turns 80!! That will be another BIG party.

I love you mommy!! Thanks for everything!

Eight For Apolo!!

I really should have "NINE" on my title, and I really
believe he was robbed out of his Silver for the 500m.

It was wrong that he was DQ!!

I really like Short Track now. It's exciting!! I
mean, one moment you're up, another moment someone
bumps into you, and you fall, and another person
you bump into falls. EXCITING! UNPREDICTABLE.

Etc. Etc.

Having said that, I don't think Apolo caused the
Canadian athlete to fall. And having a Canadian
as the head judge...well, that's another problem.

It would have been great if he won the Gold, but I
was OK with Canada winning, not stripping away the
Silver from Apolo and giving it to another Canadian.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Having said that...I'M SOO HAPPY THE TEAM WON
BRONZE!!
