SPA DAY: Part Four

My last spa visit was today!!

The haircut & shampoo was the last item
I had to redeem in the gift certificate.

I told the hairdresser that I wanted a
short cut ... to remove the layers that
I had ... BUT I didn't want a straight
"bob" cut.

So she cut my hair added some layers,
and trimmed my bangs. It's the shortest
cut I've had in awhile.

And ofcourse ... I got water afterwards!

SPA DAY: Part Three

Today's visit was a half hour Swedish Massage.

It was really nice and relaxing! The person
working on me was also very friendly. She
said she has some Filipino friends and that
they have been teaching her some Tagalog, it
was funny hearing her have a conversation with
me, and I told her that I'm not fluent at all.

My beverage after the massage: water :-D

SPA DAY: Part Two

Today I had an appointment for the Eyebrow Threading!

I've gone to ZIBA in the past ... which was about two
years ago ... my brows were in MAJOR need of work to
be done!

Anyways, the person working on my brows was really
nice. She said she loved working on "virgin" brows,
but I informed her I've done it awhile ago ... she
still considered it "too much".

I really LOVED the end result, and forgot how my
brows looked after been groomed. I will definitely
come back to maintain the work.

I was hoping to also get the Royal Parafin Hand Dip
that was listed on the certificate, but I guess that
was probably an additional payment, I was pleased with
what she had done, I didn't want to "point out" what
was on the card.

Sadly ... no complimentary beverage (on the card too)
was offereed to me. But I'm sure it might have been
water too.

SPA DAY: Part One

In February, I got a gift certificate for a
4-Visit special to a spa in burbank. I sorta
had misplaced it ... and didn't find it until
about a week ago. Since it expires in June,
I have to use it in about two weeks time.

The four visits includes:
1. Cut & Shampoo
2. Mini Cleansing Facial
3. Eyebrow Threading
4. Swedish Massage

Today I decided on the Mini Cleansing Facial, I've
never had a "professional" facial done before
so I was kind of nervous how my skin would
react to the products.

It was actually really nice, and might end up
going again.

The one thing tht disappointed me was that the
visit included a "complimentary beverage", which
I thought would have been something like iced tea.

I got a cup of water. Oh well. The service was
still nice enough for me to tip a $5.
