Super Moon In Greece !

I was looking forward to seeing the "Supermoon" during the weekend ... Sunday was suppose to be the biggest and brightest day to see the moon ... sadly ... here in California ... nothing was really super about the moon.

It seems like the BEST Supermoon was in Greece !

It seems like the past Supermoon sightings have been in Greece as well

Something Super This Weekend !!

I'm officially off for the weekend!!

Well ... Sunday & Monday!

Many ... many ... many ... many years ago in Guam ... I remember seeing the BIGGEST moon over.  I can't really describe it .. but probably watching a full IMAX screen of the moon right in front of you. 

I wish I took a photo of it.  With my point & shoot camera.  The negative would probably be bad.  I don't know how the quality of the photo might be ... that's how long I remember it has been.

I'm excited ... hopefully this Sunday I'll see that moon again.

Hopefully Los Angeles will have some nice views.

Before Midnight ... finally

Jesse misses his plane.

I loved the ending of Before Sunset.  Celine dancing to Nina Simone, telling Jesse he was going to miss his plane.. The look in his eyes when he says "I know" ... I knew that they were going to end up together.  Now nine years later ... they are still together.

Spoilers Alert.

Part of me wishes that they didn't argue soo much.  Part of me wishes they didn't have to be discussing if someone did this or that with another person.  Part of me wishes there wasn't nudity involved.   Part of me wishes that Ethan Hawke had kept his shirt tucked out, rather than half in/half out.

They talk alot.  Argue alot.  They talk about Jesse's son Hank.  They talk about Jesse's Ex-Wife.  They talk about about their twins.  They talk about their careers.

The last scene is what got me.  I adore these characters.

Before Sunset

Jesse & Celine will probably be one of my favorite movie couples of all time.

Celine:  Baby, you are gonna miss that plane.

Jesse:    I know.

How much do I love this movie??  Very much !!

Paris ... what a wonderful location!  One of the reasons I wanted to visit Shakespeare And Company when I went to Paris was because of this movie.  Jesse talks about Sacre Coeur, the Eiffel Tower, and Notre Dame.  Every place that I visited during my vacation.

The "Before" movies just resonates with me.

Part Three ... Midnight ... tomorrow ...

Before Sunrise

I decided to watch Before Midnight tomorrow ... and tonight was going to be my Before Surise & Before Sunset DVD night.  It's been awhile since I've watched these two movies ... I basically just found out about Before Midnight a month ago.

Before Surise is still my SECOND favorite film of all time.

Tonight was the perfect night to watch this movie ... at the end ... when Celine and Jesse are saying goodbye to each other ... they promise to meet up 6 months from that night.

June 16th ... today's date ... I just had an OMG moment.

I will forever watch Before Sunrise every June 16th.

Notting Hill House

I know it's been awhile since I've done a dream house search online ... for some reason ... I've always wanted to go to the U.K. ... specifically in Notting Hill (loved the movie).

For $6,409,120  this 4-bedroom house could be mine.

Prize Winner

I'm a prize winner !!

I got an email the other day from the library that I was selected in their weekly random drawing.  I thought that maybe it might be something like a keychain, or magnet, note pad, etc.

I was somewhat hoping for one of their tote bags ~ when I went to the reference desk, I was given this cute bag.  Just the right size to fit a book, or sever CD's, or a snack.

Old Friends

There are days that I hate finding out new information about old friends.

Just this past week I found out that one person just had a baby, another person got married for the SECOND time, and another person got divorced for the SECOND time.  Someone had just bought their first home ... someone just sold their current home to fly back to their hometown.

These old friends are people that I've met during the past 10 years of my life.

Soo much has happened to them and I feel that nothing has really happened in my life.  The most exciting thing for me was the Europe trip.

I've just come home from church with a smile on my face ... the priest had just told us a story of a woman who started as poor and had a small home salon ... and after many years became very successful ... finally was able to open a salon in Beverly Hills (i don't know how true this story is).  She had ordered flowers for the grand opening ... when it was delivered ... she was upset that she received the wrong delivery ... it was intended for a funeral ... "With Deepest Sympathy" ... she called the florist and was very upset.  The florist basically told the woman to just accept that she got the wrong delivery. She should be happy that she is a success, that she has her new shop, and that she has all of the clients she has for a successful business.  The florist also said that she should be happy ... somewhere in a funeral... her flowers with her original message .... will be displayed for all to see.

HA !!  Well ... here's hoping that person went to heaven.

Now ... back to those old friends.

I need some kind of change in my life.  I'm not talking about getting married, or divorce, or having a baby.  I can't afford buying a new home (no where near that financially).

I want to move.  Not just move out of this studio apartment.  Maybe away from California.  Maybe to Europe.  Maybe just quit my job and travel.

These old friends ... and their stories ... happy and sad .... big life changes ... I need that.

June Gloom

It's almost midnight ... I can't sleep ... But it doesn't matter anyways because I'm off tomorrow.  It is OK for me to have insomnia right now.  I'm looking over all of these cruise brochures that were mailed out to me.   I want to be on one of those ships right now.

I will hope and dream.  It's the only thing that keeps me sane ... I'm angry, sad, and annoyed with soo much happening THERE ... I wish "here" was on a cruise ship.  I don't want to automatically wake up at 5 am ... unless it is to watch a sunrise at sea.

Please ... let this gloom lift ...
