Last Christmas

Something happened last year that really ticked me off. I really wish I could forget it but a voice inside my head keeps telling me that it happened for a reason and that it should have opened my mind about "such and such" ~

No I haven't forgotten.

Which is sad. I think I'm a person that forgives. However, I don't forget. Maybe I don't really forgive as much as I think I do.

But I think this reason of "such and such" really deals with trust of some sorts. I can't trust "such and such" anymore ~ I've become a person that really doesn't care much about this and that.

So I've come to a decision.

I don't think I'm a terrible person for feeling this way. But I need to feel some level of trust for "such and such" ~ since what will be the whole point ~ I don't want to be fake, two-faced, untrusting.

I've made up my mind.

Tree Card Holder

I've just received a card from one of my friends and was soo happy! This is one of my favorite things about this time of the year.

Holiday Greetings!

A couple of years ago, someone gave me a tree card holder. My studio is really small, so I've never bought a Christmas tree, this was the closets thing for me to have. Even if its on my desk.

I love displaying the cards I receive! But lately, the past years, less cards are being sent...and they are replaced with emails and e-cards. Something that would be tacky looking on the tree.

I'm the person that sends out cards to family and close friends...but now I have to just settle on the email.

Day Light Savings Delimma

I woke up 4:00 am ~

My body probably thought it was 5:00 am ~ and I don't know how long this will last. Last night I was dozing off at around 9:00pm ... completely missed Desperate Housewives.

I'm just glad that I don't have to walk out in the dark at 6:00am anymore ~ the Bus Stop seems safer.

Now coming home is a different story. I usually would go for a walk/run around 5pm ~ but ofcourse ... at that time ... it'll be dark now.

A Star Is Born Marathon: Part 2

Well ... I thought I was going to be able to watch all THREE A Star Is Born movies, but since the library only had the 1937 version in VHS, I had to use my VCR ---> which didn't work at all!!

So I only had two of the movies to watch. Had no idea that the 1954 version had part of the movie edited in "stills" and "voice overs" !! Which really annoyed me. There was waaayyy too much singing and dancing than story.



Now for the final version ... I actually liked it ... Kris Kristofferson was great!! And now I know why the movie poster looked that way it did!!



I'm still going to try to rent out version 1937!!

A Star Is Born Marathon

Today is DVD night!!

I remember watching a Gilmore Girls episode where Lorelai decides to watch all three A Star Is Born movies.

I might just do that tonight.

Since the library only has the 1937 Janet Gaynor & Fredric March version on VHS, I'll have to use my VCR (yes, I have one).

I'm actually more excited with the 1976 version with Barbara Streisand version than the 1954 Judy Garland version.

Only because it had a better poster.

Alvin!!!!!!!

Alvin and the Chipmuncks was on tonight.

Not the cartoon, but the live action movie. This was the first time EVER that I watched this movie.

AND I ACTUALLY LIKED IT.

I do think cartoon Dave is much cuter than Jason Lee Dave, but still, I thought he was funny.

I know, I know, this movie might have had bad reviews, but I thought it was funny!

Seventy Two

Today would have been my fathers 72nd birthday.

Last month was his 11th year death anniversary.

Sometimes I wonder how we would be celebrating the day if he was alive. My family loves eating out or just getting together for dinner. I really miss him.

Dear Lord...please take some time today to "party" with my dad. I'm sure he'll love to sing some Elvis and Sinatra with you. Maybe all of you can hang out for the day.

Secretariat

It's been a long time since I've had the chance to watch a movie. Now that I have a free movie ticket (courtesy of Pop Tarts) I decided to watch Secretariat.

I am inspired. Truly inspired.

I knew how the movie ends of course, that he wins the Triple Crown. But to watch the races, and everyone training and caring for him...it was all heartwarming.

I am now in the mood to rent Seabiscuit...a movie i have never watched...and Hidalgo...which of course is -- :-)

One of the things I want to do in life is to actually go the the Kentucky Derby. Wear a nice fancy hat...or...in my wildest dreams...actually own a horse... call it HIDALGO RETURNS...and have him win the Triple Crown!!

I'm telling you...I'm truly inspired by this movie.

I really wish I was a sports enthusiast.

I've actually have spent the last HOUR trying to download "Desktop Chaos" as my new blog template.

Obviously I failed.

So I decided on this new one.

At least there are books on the background. But dear readers, if you can tell me how to download and actually change my template, I would really appreciate it!!

Anyway, I guess I've failed on my 100 books for 2010.

Now I just want to finish my damn manuscript.

Daytime Emmys 2010

I cannot believe As The World Turns was cancelled!!

Seriously!!

Okay, so it has been a LONG time since I've watched this soap, but I remember watching this with my mom, and just thinking about those times are happy memories.
Just a couple of days ago, I had my TV on while the show was going on. There was a special with the character of Lisa (one of my favorite), but I really wasn't paying attention...it seemed like a "tribute" episode...and now I understand.

First CBS cancels Guiding Light, now ATWT.

I always thought it would be just sitcoms & dramas that could face the possibility of cancellation, but soaps that have been on air for more than 50+ years and have a fan following?!?!?! RIDICULOUS!!!

Now on to the title of my post.

Yes, I found out because I was watching this awards show.

Anyways ~ Congrats to the ATWT winners!!

Toy Story 3

I absolutely love this movie!!

I had watched it with my nieces, and I think I cried more than they did. I will definitely get the trilogy once this movie comes out on DVD.

The story was absolutely adorable ... sweet ... touching .... and sad. But the ending was heartwarming.

Please. Please. Please let it end this way! I would have for a Toy Story 4 to come out ... then have a terrible story.

Go out and watch it. Again & again.

The Karate Kid (2010)

I was debating whether or not to watch this movie since I really liked the original one with Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita, and did not want to be disappointed with a remake.

I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it alot.

Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan had great chemistry with each other. I
didn't really like the whole training with a jacket though ~ I much preferred it when Daniel was painting and waxing for Mr. Miyagi.

There was a scene where I was waiting for a "wax on, wax off" comment...but it never happened.

But everything else about the movie was enjoyable. I felt the fear in Jaden Smith's character Dre ~ and really enjoyed his transformation to the Karate Kid.

I'm sure I'll buy the DVD for this movie as well as the original one.

This year, SYTYCD has 11 contestants pairing with All-Stars ... in my opinion ... I think they should have stayed with 20 "regular" dancers!!

Soo many missed out on an opportunity.

If you must have All Stars ... then have a whole season with All Stars ... maybe competing for a charity ...

Sex And The City 2

I think its time for the SATC girls to stop making movies!!

How disappointing this movie was for me. I found it boring and didn't think the whole premise of going to Abu Dhabi was at all interesting. I'm just glad they made Samantha's storyline more interesting than the first movie.

She's the only one having sex!!! How is it the other girls weren't having any ... with a title like SEX AND THE CITY!! Sure ... put some "real life" problems in the mix ... but TWO and a HALF hours of uninteresting dialog ... MPK could have written more for Miranda and Charlotte.

I don't know if I'll be getting the DVD, I wasn't too sure about buying the first movie, but I did anyway.

Soo disappointed.

A Loss for CELTICS and NEW DIRECTIONS

First I had to deal with the Celtics losing game 3 to Lakers, now for the season finale of GLEE, New Directions don't even place!!!

I had really hoped that Celtics would win tonight at home.
I had really hoped that New Directions would win the regionals.

Maybe it would have been too obvious if GLEE was a "happy" ending ~ but Celtics losing the same night, too sad for me to take.

It's been TWO months since I've stopped wearing contacts and now I want to go have my Vision Exam and buy several months supply.

I had no idea how EXPENSIVE Contact Lens exams costs!!

I only watched the awards because I wanted to see how she was doing ... and I'm glad she looked great!!!

I thought X-Tina's performance was the best of the night.

Saturday Day Off

It's been awhile since I've had a day off on a Saturday. I was able to sleep in and have a nice breakfast.

I had wanted to go to the beach, but decided on hanging out at the pool and do some reading. I really should be writing but its such a nice day out, maybe reading pool side isn't too bad.

I've started to read Eat, Pray, Love and I'm excited to see the movie in August.

So for now, its a lazy Saturday for me.

In Need Of Air Conditioning!!!

I really, really enjoyed this movie!!!

It was exciting from start to finish.

I just could not take my eyes of Jake Gyllenhaal's biceps and hair!! Yes...his hair was gorgeous!!

I didn't know it was based on a video game, but the characters and storyline was very interesting.

TV Now

So I'm channel surfing because I wanted to watch ELLEN but realized I already saw this episode. With all the channels I have in my basic cable line up ... there is actually NOTHING I want to watch. Which is sad .... I know that there is something ... but actually nothing that I'm interested.

So now, I will just read books.

I pray and wish I get a job writing for TV, but right now, I don't think there is anything for writers, since everything on TV seems to be "unscripted" ... whatever that means!!

I can't believe how much time has passed. I really should have written more, but I've just been soo swamped (and lazy) with other projects.

This was a very funny movie!!

I didn't think I'd like it this much, and only watched it today because of the M.S.J.

So free movie & free drink ~ plus free popcorn from my Movie Watchers Rewards ~ this was a fun Sunday out.

I love all the characters, and the actors were wonderful.

I just thought it was odd how they just took the "pills" even though it wasn't theirs!! But ... I guess thats what made this movie funny.

The Backup Plan

DIRTY DIRTY SINKS!!!

It has happened again!!!

I thought everything was fine with maintenance issues in my apartment and I come home to "water" overflowing from my Kitchen & Bathroom sinks.

GROSS! GROSS! GROSS!!

I finally met the current apartment manager, Tom, and he was very helpful in getting rid of the mess ~ mopping the floors, dumping the water, etc.

He's going to have to work on the pipes tomorrow, and also the slow draining water in my tub.

But seriously...maybe this is a sign that I need to move.

I could not believe how packed the church was today!! I knew I should have arrived half an hour ealier.

Anyways...Lent is over, and I still feel awful that I didn't really give up anything.

The Final TUB Work

My apartment manager called to inform me that the LAST step regarding my bath tub is the REGLAZING.

She said that after the coating is placed on the tub, I won't be able to take a shower for two days!!!

Thank goodness for work!! I could always shower there.

Can't wait for the work to be finalzed. Maybe, just maybe, I won't have to move.

Library Opening Hours

I wanted to go to the 7:30am mass this morning, but I just couldnt get out of bed. Today is the day Maintenance will be working on my bathroom window and tub area so I wanted to step out of my apartment early.

I ended up leaving my apartment at 8:20am ~ I think I saw the two men that might be working on my apartment ~ they were hanging out in the parking lot drinking some coffee.

Anyways, I caught the 8:40am bus and headed toward Downtown Burbank. I decided to get some coffee from Starbucks and then checkout the library. The Central Library opens at 9:30am and there was already a crowd waiting.

I was hoping to get THE NANNY RETURNS since that was the only location where the book was available. I then had to catch a bus at 9:45am to get to the Buena Vista library location just because I had work at 11:00am and wanted to be closer.

Anyways, when I got to the second library, another crowd was waiting for it to open at 10:00am ~ I didnt know how many people were there that early...for opening. And for both locations, it was first come ~ first serve ... in getting an available computer.

Oh, well... at least I got the book ... and I didnt have to wait awhile for an available computer this early!

Notice To Enter Dwelling.Part 2

I'm getting new windows for my bathroom and a new Shower/Tub Surround is going to be installed!!

When I came home after work I saw a "Notice To Enter Dwelling" on my door. I guess I was right about my apartment manager wanting to fix my bathroom.

Finally!! After years/months of hating my window and hating the crack on the wall of my shower/tub area.

The workers are suppose to enter from 9:00am to 4:00pm ~ Since I work at 11:00am tomorrow, I might as well leave the apt early.

I'm soo excited. It's suppose to be a 2-day work ~ I'm just hoping I could shower on Friday...with whatever work is done.

Clean Ceiling

For some reason, I think the Maintenace staff of my apartment does not know (or want to) how to turn on my floor lamp.

I noticed my blinds were open when I came home. I guess that was the only way to get light in while they inspected my smoke detector!

I also noticed a strong chlorine smell that was coming out of my bathroom. THEY CLEANED UP THE CEILING ABOVE MY TUB!! I blame being short, and not being able to actually wipe down the dust/dirt/moisture that accumulated above my tub. But it was clean, with a strong chlorine smell.

I wonder what they thought of the crack on the wall, as well as the rust on my window lock.

Ack. Can't have everything right. One can only wish.

Notice To Enter Dwelling

It's time for my smoke detector to be checked again!! My Apartment Manager posted notices on our doors, for something they will do tomorrow.

Which means Management is going to be checking my apartment for anything that needs to be fixed too. So I'm going to be cleaning my apartment to make sure It's appropriate when Maintenance and Management comes in. I don't want them to think I'm a slob (which I'm not).

The notice also states "we will be checking Air Conditioners as well as water leaks." Have they even decided to install an AC unit in my apartment, or do I have to request that myself?!?!

I really wish I caught the AM Matinee for this movie!!

This was not worth the $10 I spent, and I'm glad I didn't spend extra $$ to watch this in IMAX/3D ~

The story wasn't great, but the visuals were "nice" ~

I can't really grade the acting, because I guess the characters are suppose to be "interesting" ~ I much prefer the Disney animation.

Kinda disappointed.

Lately, I've been super annoyed with the people upstairs. Walking
and running andwhatever they are doing late at night. Even
playing with their instruments (im talking MUSICAL instruments).

My neighbors next door too. Loud TV, smoking right outside my
window, kids yelling and running and leaving their bikes near
the door.

I used to not care. It didn't bother me.

I just want out.

Maybe new furniture too.

New Month!!

It is March!!

My goodness, the third month of the year!!

March 19th brings 7 years for me working in
Burbank ~ I'm very lucky to have a job, but
I want more.

Is that selfish??

And I really have to start working out!!!

Cop Out

I wasn't planning on watching this movie, but
since I've seen everything interesting already,
we decided this was the only thing to watch.

Will not watch "Shutter Island" due to the fact
that I'm a "wimp" when it comes to scary movies.

And since I wasn't technically paying for the
movie, "Cop Out" was the only choice.

It was soo funny.

Funny & clever writing.
The actors ... every single one of them was funny.

I'm actually going to buy this movie when it
comes out on DVD. If I'm in a sad mood, this
will definitely pick me up.

Laughed soo much, from beginning to end.

Happy 77th Birthday To My Mom!!

My mom turns 77 today!!!!

She inspires me soo much!! 3 more years until she
turns 80!! That will be another BIG party.

Eight For Apolo!!

I really should have "NINE" on my title, and I really
believe he was robbed out of his Silver for the 500m.

It was wrong that he was DQ!!

I really like Short Track now. It's exciting!! I
mean, one moment you're up, another moment someone
bumps into you, and you fall, and another person
you bump into falls. EXCITING! UNPREDICTABLE.

Etc. Etc.

Having said that, I don't think Apolo caused the
Canadian athlete to fall. And having a Canadian
as the head judge...well, that's another problem.

It would have been great if he won the Gold, but I
was OK with Canada winning, not stripping away the
Silver from Apolo and giving it to another Canadian.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Having said that...I'M SOO HAPPY THE TEAM WON
BRONZE!!

STILL HOPING

I need money.

My co-workers and I always say that the only way
for us to "make" more money is to win the lottery.

I could work as many hours as I can, I can get
another job or two (if someone was hiring), but
the only way I'll ever be able to buy Real Estate,
is by winning the lottery.

It's another Mega Millions we are buying tickets
for.

$99 Million to be exact.

Dear Universe...The House is about $1 million.
And I'll probably need a VW Beetle too. If I
could have some extra cash too, because I'd want
to open up a book store.

Apolo Ohno is in Sports Illustrated this week!!

I really hope he gets a gold. But if not, another silver
or bronze for his next two competitions.

I find myself crying while watching the competitions
because so much of the athletes personal stories are
also showcased. So much emotions for these sports!

The Lightning Thief

I wasn't sure about watching this movie before
reading the book, but I decided to just watch it.

I thought it was alright. It wasn't bad, I just
thought the Harry Potter movies were better. I
know they are completely different, but still,
the story was OK.

The fact that there was a Lady Gaga song that
was part of the movie, I thought this was
really funny.

Maybe I'll read the book.

LESS WORK ~

Well, the recession has hit my company.

I've lost one shift this week, but my supervisor
said that I'll probably get a full week the next
schedule.

I should be happy that I'll have extra time to
write and read, but right now, I'm more concerned
about paying the bills.

Which is sad. Because I should be happy that
I can write ... which shouild really be my
REAL job.

A WEEK OF BEING 35 ~

So I've been 35 years old for about a week
already, and I think I've been "good" about
alot of things.

No Alcohol.
Exercise.
Happiness.

The only thing that I need to "work" on is
my sleep.

I've been getting only 5-6 hours of sleep,
and I've been tired lately.

So now, I must relax more too.

I have failed! And it has only been 4 days!
Maybe I could "start againg" tomorrow.

During the service yesterday, the priest gave the

what we are giving up. Just as long as we know
ourselves.

I already know that I cannot give up coffee and
chocolate.

Valentines Day

I'm neither disappointed or thrilled about this movie.

** Spoiler Alert **

It's hard for me to believe that in a span of less
than 16 hours, two couples who woke up with each
other is going to end up with different people at
the end of the movie.

Also, at the end of the night, two friends realize that
they are meant for each other, rather than the two
people who they first started the day with.

Oh ~ and the two Taylors ... REALLY ... what was the
point of their characters other than having just the
TL & TS in the movie.

I think of alot more other music that could have been
in the soundtrack!!!

Anyways, the ONLY scene that I cried was when it was
revealed who Julia Roberts was spending Valentines Day
with.

Back To Work

After 3 days off (birthday weekend) it is
back to work for me.

In ONE MONTH it will be my 7 year anniversary
at this job.

While I enjoy working with people here, it
isn't what I want to do in life. I'm honestly
here ... just for the income .. to pay bills.

I've made calls, sent out emails, mailed out
resumes ... and the same response i get is ..

we're not hiring

How do we do it??

How can we get the career that we want when
there isn't a company that will take us??

Do we just settle and be happy where we are at?

Winter Olympics 2010

How I wish I was in Canada today!!

I had hoped and wished that I could watch
the 2010 Olympics live ~ however, that was
not meant to be.

I will be cheering for most of Team USA
ofcourse, but I'm also excited about
the other countries. I just want to be
inspired by any/all of the athletes from
whatever country.

Maybe in 2014 ~ I'll be able to go to Russia.

The one athlete that I am definitely
going to cheer for is Apolo Anton Ohno!

To end this blog ~ my prayers go out
to the team and family of the Georgian
luger, Nodar Kumaritashvili, who died
from an accident during practice.

To Read Or Not To Read

I don't know If Im going to make it!!

I know I want to read 100 books this year.
but I need to WRITE too.

Because writing is going to give me the
$$ that I need.

Dear Blog,

I really wish I could write to you and tell
you how much I liked DEAR JOHN.

But I didn't.

I had read the book twice and knew what it
was about and hoped I would "like" it. It
was alright, and I'm somewhat glad that the
ending was "different" from the book. I thought
I would get emotional, but the only time I
cried was the father and son "moment" ~ not
the "couple" moments they had together.

I will get the DVD. Only because I have the
rest of the Nicholas Sparks "movie dvds" ~ I
just wish I liked it more.

Am I just dead inside??

P.S.
Don't miss the first 5 minutes of the movie.
The voice over is important ~ gives alot of
meaning to the "father-son" moment.

New Floors

I'm in need of a new vacuum.

I'm in need of new carpet.
I'm in need of hardwood floors.

About two months ago I was doing an apartment
search for my area ... and I found a listing
for my apartment complex.

There were photographs of one unit that looked
MUCH BETTER than mine!! It even had hardwood
floors!!

Anyways, for a couple of days, I kept hearing
loud noises coming from my next door neighbor.
It sounded like maintenance work going on. The
next day they had their door opened I saw them
installing NEW "wood" tiles!

How I wish I also had new floors!!

Strange Dream ~ Episode 2010.2

I don't know if it's just old age or the amount
of KFC chicken I had before I went to bed last
night but add this to the list of weird dreams.

I'm in a field of tulips and I'm wearing my
new rain boots ~ its a sunny day, but I like
how it looks with my outfit:

brown corduroy knee length skirt
short sleeve turtle neck in pink

So I'm in this field of tulips, and I think
I'm in Italy ~ I also just watched House Hunters
International ~ this might explain some things.

Anyways, someone comes to me with a live chicken
and asks what time do I want dinner. I said that
I think I'm going to a party so he didn't need
to prepare a meal. He then tells me its a waste of
a dead chicken. HE THEN BREAKS THE NECK OF THE
CHICKEN.

I think I might have gagged in the dream too.

Anyways. I'm back in a small room, this same
person comes in ~ I really have no idea who it
is, but this person tells me that he thinks that
he should prepare supper since I've missed the
party. In my mind I think, "oh no", so I'm
running down the stairs, and it does look like
a party just ended.

There is a plate of drumsticks and wings, with
a note:

"thought I should leave some for you"

Then I wake up.

A Week Until The 35th!!

One more week and I'm officially in my mid-30s

It's not really getting older that is bothering
me, its not accomplishing things that I wanted
to at this age.

1. I really wish I had a house of my own
2. I really wanted to have a successful career
(not a "regular" JOB)

Also, having a FACEBOOK account and seeing some
classmates with children makes me compare how
their lives have changed when we were younger
(High School, College, Grad School).

Now, I'm hoping that in 5 years (or less), I'll
have the house and the career. Not thinking too
much about the kids ~

Yellow Flowers

One of my co-workers gave me an pot
of flowers ... "just because" ...

So i'm writing if off as an early
birthday gift :-D ~ I know it'll
be nicer to leave inside my apartment,
but I'll get more sun outside my door.

New Do

I had a hair cut on Monday and now feel comfortable
with the new do ~

shorter hair with bangs.

I keep wondering if it makes me look older or no
difference (younger) since what does a typical
35 year old look like?.?!.

I decided to look up celebrities that are my age
to compare if we all look our age.

Maybe because of my height & "babyface", I most
definitely look younger than all of them.

In Search Of Easy Tone Sneakers!!

I cant find any REEBOK Easy Tone Sneakers!!

Every sports store is sold out or nothing
in my size or pink color is available!!

I've looked online ... absolultely nothing!!

Dear Readers!! Please give me any sightings of
Reebok Easy Tone Sneakers in size 6 ~ PINK!!

Resolutions for working out ~

When In Rome

Another "romantic" movie that disappointed me ~

The script was bad. Really Bad!

I feel like I can't really comment on the "acting"
because, what else can these actors work with
considering some of the dialogue.

If someone walked in halfway through this movie,
they might have thought they were watching a
deleted scene of NAPOLEON DYNAMITE since Jon Heder
and Efren Ramirez (PEDRO..but Juan in this movie)
had some scenes together. I dont know why they
just didnt have his character wear a VOTE FOR
PEDRO shirt...since the movie was ridiculous
enough.

Worst part of the movie for me: the "date" in
the restaurant ~ SILLY.DUMB.AWFUL.

The only thing I liked was Josh Duhamel as eye candy,
and Kristin Bells clothes.

And really ... SPOILER ALERT ... the PRIEST!!! Like
that made sense!!

2010 Oscar Nominations!!

Today was the reveal of the 2010 Oscar Nominations!!

Here are my picks on who I want to win!

Best Picture:I haven't seen half of the movies nominated,
but just for creativity, I would really love for AVATAR to win. Several
were based on novels, and my next choice would be THE BLIND SIDE.

It is the first of February!!

Okay so this is my birthday month and I turn
35 this year!!

I'm going to be in my MID 30s!!

Last year was a weird time for me, and I'm
very thinkful that things turned out for the
better.

I'm going to relax and be happy.
I'm going to exercise daily.
I'm going to be healthy.
I'm going to read daily.
I'm going to write daily.

This will be a new beginning!!

Maintenance Work Completed!!

I can finally wash dishes with a "working" faucet!!

My front door now has a fixed door knob!! No longer
paranoid that I'll pull it out.

And the door knob in my kitchen closet is finally
attached!

Just hope that I dont need to fill out anymore forms.

Leap Year

I should have waited for this to come out in DVD!
Only because I wish I didnt spend $12 today for a
"so so" movie.

It wasn't bad ... I just didnt really feel anything
"romantic" about this movie ... the cinematography
was pretty...I wanted to see them actually "fall in love"
with each other.

There were some funny lines by the "old men", and Amy Adams
had really nice clothes, but I wanted more passion and
chemistry.

January Maintenance Request

The knob on my front door seem like its about
to come loose ~ rather it is loose ~ and seems
like its about to come out.

The door knob on my kitchen closet has been
broken for weeks.

Water has been flowing irregularly from my kitchen
faucet...for about two months.

It is time to fill out a maintenance request form.

I'm soo disappointed with NBC.

I'm soo mad at Jay Leno.

I want to wish Conan O'Brien luck.

Yes there were reasons Jay Leno was suppose to
"retire" ~ why on earth would NBC then create
the JAY LENO show at 10pm ~ when that slot could
have been for a scripted show?!?!

Conan should have been able to keep his show
and Jay should have just really retired!!

I hope David Letteman slaugters him in the
ratings!!

One Month To Go

I'm going to be 35 in a month.

No House.
No VW Beetle.
No published novel.

Working to pay the bills.

I really should hope for the best, I've decided
not to listen to news, because everything is BAD
news, and really stupid celebrity drama.

But I'm going to keep hoping for the BEST, and keep
dreaming big.

It's Complicated

Another Movie Wednesday!!

I didnt have the day off so we didnt see a Matinee.
But thank goodness the credit card maachines was
working, I didn't want to withdraw money from the
ATM again.

Anyways ... this was a really funny movie. I
wasn't sure who Meryl Streep would "end up with"
at the end of the movie ... but was really happy
with the result.

Good writing.
Good actors.

Loved John Krasinski's character.

Go out and watch this.
It might end up in my DVD collection.

Strange Dream - Episode 2010.1

First strange dream of the year!

I dreamt I was at a JOURNEY (!) concert holding onto
my envelope full of $1 bills for the lottery. I was
feeling sick so I stepped out and met up with a former
roomate. She apologized for being late and we had to
go to this RIBS restaurant and had to wait for another
person ... one of my former coworkers from Paramount.

When this person finally came, we were done with
several ribs ... and he tells me to not forget about
buying tickets for my new coworkers.

Why I had a dream about these people & JOURNEY & RIBS
I have no idea ... but I better not forget to buy
the tickets.

Disney is giving away free passes!!

I love this "Give A Day ~ Get A Day" program. It's a
win-win cause.

Just don't know which organization I should help out.

Second Sunday

Today ... I did not go to the Spanish Mass !!!

Yes I remembered!

It's really weird having a day off on Sunday.
I don't have to get up early, and I'm actually
relaxed and observing the Sabbath.

Hot Chocolate.
Nuttella and Bread.

Reading. Reading. Reading.

It is a good day today.

Working Shower!!

For the past couple of days, my shower wasn't working.
I had thought that maybe I needed to "clean" the shower
head of any debris that might have accumulated. I actually
bought POLIDENT because I saw something in the HGTV about
cleaning shower heads because of hard water residue, etc.

I used the POLIDENT thinking it'll work.

Nothing happened! I actually removed the shower head but
no water came out of the pipes! I didn't want to fill out
another WORK ORDER since I hate maintenance coming in my
apartment.

After almost a week of "not using" the shower, I was happy
to find water coming out of the shower head!!! No need to
contact my apartment manager!!

But seriously ... this is another reason I need to move!!

Lottery Day!!

Dear Universe,

I have in my hands $21 from 21 individuals
who BEG OF YOU, ASK OF YOU, to PLEASE PLEASE
grant us the JOY of being Lottery Winners!!

We will happily split $48 Million and help
our family, friends, charities, etc.

I would really like to have my 35th birthday
party in THE HOUSE !! Which would be my only
MAJOR purchase ... unless ofcourse I buy

Sports Stuff

It's BCS Night!!

Congrats to Alabama!!
You did a great job Texas!!

Now if only I was excited about games like this.

This whole week I was surrounded by people wearing
Texas shirts with quotes "come early, be loud,
stay late, wear orange."

AND I WANTED TO BET FOR THEM!

Then here comes people with their red shirts
greeting each other with "roll tide"

AND I WANTED TO BET FOR THEM TOO!!

There is just not a single team that Im really
passionate about.

Not the Lakers
Not the Dodgers

And I live in California!

I was happy when the Celtics won~
I was happy when the Red Sox won~

But not really PASSIONATE about any Team
of any sport!!

This year ... I might just end up watching
all the games (yeah right) NFL, MLB, NBA, ETC.

If you are going to watch this movie ~ watch it in 3D IMAX!

James Cameron...you did it again!! Another amazing movie!!

While it was not the "romantic" movie like TITANIC ~ I did
cry during the scene where he has already "chosen his mate"
DONT ASK WHY ... I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS SWEET ~

The visuals was spectacular...the story was imaginative & sad.
I don't know if I could really enjoy this watching it at home
on a very small screen ~ but will be part of my DVD collection.

Habla Espanol

I'm still feeling weird about forgetting the 3:00pm
mass on Sunday was the "SPANISH MASS" ~

So now ... I've decided ... this is the year!!

I'm going to learn how to speak Spanish!!

Forgetting Stuff

I don't know if its lack of sleep, or just age,
but lately, I've been forgetting simple things.

1. I forgot to renew my P.O. Box rental
2. I went to mass yesterday, but went to the SPANISH MASS
3. I ordered TAKE OUT, but forgot I bought some eggs too.

I really should do some "Brain Exercise" ~ usually I
do the Sudoku section, but lately, I've been lazy.

Hopefully this is only because of my lack of sleep.
