MOVIE WEDNESDAY: THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE

There was just TOO much kissing in this movie!!!
That was heard from the 5 & 6 year old sitting
behind us.

It's been awhile since I've read the book, so I don't
know just how much of the details was missing, I
found myself thinking that "wasn't there suppose to
me more" .... but it was still enjoyable to watch.

It was a good movie, even if there were some cheesy
moments regarding their romantic possibilities.

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

Thank goodness i saw this movie for free!!! Cuz If I had paid for this movie, I would have been ROBBED!!

I had a free movie ticket/popcorn/drink to use today, and this was the only "good" movie out. We decided we might as well see this movie on IMAX ~

I should have listened to people who told me to wait until this came out on DVD. But it was free, so I don't feel too bad. But I COULD HAVE USED IT FOR SOMETHING ELSE!!!

Anyways, yeah -- i didn't like the story -- the effects were great -- the acting "EH" -- those "twin" cars, reminded me of "Jar Jar Binks" (i was annoyed the whole time) ~

Why ruin my memory of the first movie, which i loved!!

Farewell King Of Pop

It's hard to describe what I'm feeling.

Watching the memorial today was really heart breaking. There are 3 fatherless kids and in the next couple of days/weeks, their future will be decided on.

Today, the people that he inspired, his worldwide fans, celebrates the wonderful and talented person he was.

I cried.

During the motorcade. Seeing the casket. His Songs. His Friends & Family. It was a beautiful celebration of your life.

Thank you M.J. ~ you will live on forever.

BOOKED A CRUISE!!

I'm going to a cruise for the first time!!

So I have about a month and a half to get "fit" and shop for bathing suits. That is something I really dread!! Maybe I'll just do the board shorts and tank top. Anyways, I don't know how to feel about having soo much free time on my hands. Maybe I'll get a book (or two) to read ~ just hopefully the ship has alot of activities!!

I must however ... tan my PALE legs .... before this cruise!!!

BACK ON COFFEE

i'm weak.

i had to have a cup of coffee today.

anyways, i've decided, i could still try to be "healthier" ~ so maybe the one cup of coffee i have everymorning will OK ~ since coffee can actually be good for you in moderation.

ANYWAYS I COULD HAVE DAILY:
cup of coffee for breakfast ~
cup of green tea with lunch ~
glass of milk with snacks ~
glass of cranberry juice with dinner ~
8 glasses of water throughout the day ~
cup of hot chocolate before bedtime ~

if only i could include a glass of red wine also ~ but i don't think its wise for me to have a bottle open if it's not for group dining.

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: PUBLIC ENEMIES

Everyone was running late today, so we couldn't make it to Transformers, the earliest movie showing was Public Enemies, so we went to that instead.

I didn't really read any of the reviews of this movie, I just know that it was a gangster movie. But after watching it, I felt it was more of a love story. Johnny Depp can be my bad boy anyday!!

Sure there was the violence. But John Dillinger & Billie Frechette were soo sweet to each other. The story was interesting. The cinematography & costumes were magnificent.

I ended up getting a FREE ticket, so I might use that for Transformers, everyone we talked to said it wasn't that great. So I might as well see it for free.

ANOTHER MONTH DONE

Goodbye June!!

This month was suppose to be about heroes, i really wish i had alot to write about but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

All these celebrity deaths are really getting me down. Makes me think that we really have to live today as it was our last.

If only it was that easy.

I'd like to be in vacation, but I need the income. So instead of living today as if it was my last, I have to be working to make sure I have something to actually survive for the day & future.

Damn, the contradiction.

THINGS TO DO ON A DAY OFF:

I had wanted to go to the Griffith Observatory, however, of all days for the place to be CLOSED --> EVERY MONDAY. I guess I won't be able to do that.

I thought of lounging in the pool, but hey, guess what, IT WAS CLOSED for maintenance!! It would have been a great day to tan my legs ~

I decided to spend another day watching soaps, and reading, and writing. Which I'm glad I could do.

I wanted to go and take pictures too ~ but the HEAT!!!

I should probably do a spa day next week.

OVERLOAD

I cannot believe how much coverage MJ's death is receiving!!

I can't watch TV without seeing news after news after news about his death. And everything is repetitive!!

I was absolutely SADDENED when I found out that he died, but this is just too much.

Yes I would probably like to go to his star at the Walk Of Fame, but the media being there, just to cover people paying their respects...why, why, why!!

He was an international star. He was the king of pop. He was talented and amazing. That's what I want to remember him for, but the overload of news, I just can't take it anymore.

STRANGE DREAM

Last night I had a really strange dream.

I was in an airport and had one of those baggage carts with about 2 LV luggages. The person behind me kept telling me how she adores LV bags, and it must have cost me a fortune. I remember saying something like it was a gift.

Suddenly there are these group of paparazzi surrounding this guy wearing a cowboy hat, I can't really see his face until the photographers suddenly disappear.

The woman behind me yells, OH MY GOD, ITS BRETT MICHAELS!!

And I see him. He pauses and says hello to me. For some reason we end up on those moving thingy moving us from one side of the airport to the other, and Im STANDING on the baggage cart now.

Brett Michaels says "I missed you"

And I say ... "why havent you called"

He doesnt say anything, but we start KISSING, it's as if Im watching Rock of Love/Bus of Loveand he is making out with one of those skanky girls, but he's making out with me.

Anyways, we stop. And he leaves, and says "I'll see you around".

I'm back with that woman, and she says ... "you know Brett Michaels??"

And I say:

"We had a one night stand, Im surprised he remembered me"

WHY THE HELL AM I DREAMING ABOUT BRETT MICHEALS?!!?!?

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: THE PROPOSAL

Ryan Reynolds is hot.

Sandra Bullock looks great.

We liked the movie, there was just some bits and pieces that we thought was OFF. We didnt' really see them "fall" in love with each other.

Sure there was that kiss.
Sure there was them running naked into each other.
Sure there was the "It Takes Two" moment.

But when did RR fall in love with SB??

When he saw the note she left him about the manuscript?

Betty White was funny, but we all felt that the scene in the woods was really weird and out of place. Sure SB was funny, but really...what was the purpose???

But it was cute movie. The end credits was funny too.

THE GOSSELIN DIVORCE

Okay.

So I'm hoping J&K do not get a divorce. No one
mentioned the "D" word during last nights episode.
Only "separate" was used ... but ofcourse, K did
file for divorce.

I just don't understand why she says that the
show MUST go on. If she really cares about the
kids ... IS SHOULD ALREADY BE OVER!!

The books .... means nothing
The special appearances ... means nothing

I think their time apart, was a big part of all
this mess ~ yes, J "was at the wrong place, at
the wrong time" ~

The kids are going to suffer. I would like for them

Well, its official.

Hours have been cut at work, and I had a
day off ~ since I didn't have any doctors
appointment, I decided to just RELAX !!

Read A Little.
Write A Lot.
Watch some Soaps.
Sleep In.
A little Bit Of Shopping.

Father's Day 1999 was the last day I ever
spoke with my dad. He had passed away in
October of that year.

I sometimes look through cards and think,
"oh, I would have bought this for dad."
But now, 10 years later, I wonder how he
would have been.

Now I just celebrate this holiday by
wishing my brothers, brother-in-law,
and male friends a Happy Fathers Day.

But I miss my dad.
And I think this holiday would have meant
more if I spent it with him and family.

OFF COFFEE

I'm going to try to get off coffee for the
next couple of days!!

It's going to be just water, tea, and maybe
some cranberry juice ~ all healthy beverages!!

Lets just see how I get through during the
mornings ~

MAJOR DECISION

I think that I have a MAJOR decision that I
need to make. Maybe I should have done
something last year, but then again, I seem
to be doing OK right now, and maybe last
year wasnt the time, and the time is now.

Maybe I'm just overreacting right now. But
I'm thinking of all these different sceneros.
Maybe my paranoia is just stressing me out
and I'm thinking of decisions I don't even
need to make.

I'll probably know next month if I have to
do, what I have to do.

OUT OF FOCUS

Dammit!!

Why do I have to have such a long reading list!!!

I want to read, and I want to finish writing
"the novel", but then again, I'm reading
multiple books at the same time, AND writing
multiple novels at the same time too!! Too
much interesting subjects to write about.

Anyways, let's just say I'm hoping to win the
lottery, just so I can have enough free time to
read & write. Since reading and writing while
at work ... is kinda a lack of focus!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: UP 3D

I should have brought a box of tissues!!

Sitting next to us were 3 little boys and 15 minutes
into the movie, we were crying!! Not major crying,
but sniffles etc. And I was trying to wipe my tears
under the 3D glasses.

One of the boys says to his mom .. "why are they crying"?

Anyways, GREAT movie!! Wonderful Characters!! Great Story!!

EXCITING STUFF

Last night I was watching a particular awards show
where a particular movie won most of the categories.

Anyways, a particular actress who won one of the
awards, who is shooting another movie, portraying
a particular famous rockstar was at work today.

I happened to be reading the final chapters of the
3rd book of the series that she won an award
for that the movie based on the first book (did that
make sense?).

The doors opened and she walks in with a group
of Paparazzi behind her ~ then later when she
was walking out with the rockstar, the same group
just hanged out in parking lot shooting more
footage.

And yes ... she is very pretty in person!!

SURVIVED ANOTHER DAY OFF

Today was once again another day off for me!

However, today was another day for a doctors
visit. ACK!! Anyways, the doctor I talked
to was very nice. He said that I shouldn't
be concerned about the test result but he
did say we have to wait for my ultrasound.

So another visit to Kaiser in two weeks!!

Anyways, since everyone else was at work and
making some money, I decided to go to the LA
Central Library. I've forgotten how BIG it
was!! I spent a long time browsing the DVD
section. Finally got some DVDs that I couldn't
get at the "other" library.

Anyways ... I'm glad that I didnt go shopping,
since I told myself not to shop for anything
"useless", which is probably everything.

It's nice to be able to relax, and watch a DVD
and read a book, but with all of these days off
my bank account will suffer, and if I want my
credit card balance to be ZERO by the end of the
year...then I really cant have another day off
like this!!

Hmmm, cut summer school, fire some teachers,

Everything seems to be depressing, mostly
about war and crime and hate.

THIS WEEK ON TV

I really should be watching less TV and concentrate
on writing ~

I told myself that I'm going to stop watching
Jon & Kate + 8, but I still love seeing the kids.
It just breaks my heart that J&K could be done.
It was a nice 100th episode ... but for some reason,
it just wasn't a "special" 100th episode.

Right now, it's kinda nice everything is in
reruns, so I could write more, but then again
I end up just reading at home.

Anyways ... thank goodness SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE
is back!!!! Everyone is sooo good this year ~
I don't have any favorites yet ~ still sad about
the first round of eliminations.

I must admit I've found myself catching bits
and pieces of several Reality Shows, and I just
get sooo annoyed that these shows are filling up
spots that Scripted Shows could be filling.

I'VE POSTED SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THIS !!!

CA-125 / PART 2

Got another call today from another doctor!!!

Apparently because of my test (and reasons for
taking the test) result they scheduled some kind
of "consultation" this coming Monday ... so thats
another day off for me!!!

ACK!! BUT TO SEE A DOCTOR AGAIN!!

Yes, these doctors are my Heroes for calling
me and scheduling me an appointment, I'm
just hoping that this checkup will be good news.

Pray for the best please !!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: LAND OF THE LOST

I was hoping to use my free pass to watch
UP 3D, but G1 of G&G could not get out of
work in time, soo ... it was a choice of

1. The Hangover -> everyone says "go see it"
2. Land of the Lost -> almost everyone says "skip it"

I wasn't "up" to see THE HANGOVER today, and it
started later than LAND OF THE LOST, so I kinda
convinced G&G to watch LOTL today, and they
don't have to feel "pressured" to watch THE PROPOSAL
when it comes out ~ but I still intended to use
the free pass for UP 3D ~

NOW TO THE MOVIE ~

WE ACTUALLY LIKED IT!! LOT'S OF CORNY AND "DUMB"
MOMENTS ... BUT WE WERE LAUGHING (MOST OF THE AUDIENCE)
AT THE "ADULT HUMOR" IN THE MOVIE. NOT DISAPPOINTED
AT ALL ~

CA-125 TEST

So much for a "healthy day off" yesterday!!

My doctor just called me to tell me that the
CA-125 blood test I took was "a little high"
so she is going to refer me to the OB/GYN
department.

Last year, the test I took was "low", so it
was in the normal range. 30.5 -> 35 would
have been "OK" ~ but my test yesterday was
"higher" than that (dont want to go into details!!)

I've been reading up online about high results
and false positives & false negatives. Nothing
really is helping me out information wise.

Now I wish today was another day off!!

HEALTHY DAY OFF

I took a day off from work today to go
to Kaiser to get my annual physical.
It went by really quick, it seems the
earlier you go, the faster the service.

Anyways, I got back to my apartment around
noon and thought about doing errands, etc.
Didn't know what would be on TV, since I'm
never home at this time.

I realized that this time of the day, was time
for Daytime Drama, like I don't already get
enough of that when I'm at work.

So I'm flipping back and forth from network
to network and find out that some stars from
one show, now works in another show. And some
characters are together, and others are with
other people.

So, I kinda was curious about Y&R, B&B, and
DOOL, and shocked about the twist and turns
and actors playing all new roles ~

Anyways, I'm soo confused about whose kid is
whose in these shows. Who cares if I haven't
watched in years ... SAMMI is still having drama
and BROOKE still has children from the same
family pool .... or so I thought ...

I just miss the really outrageous writing
and characters in daytime drama. I've always
wanted to write for a soap opera!!

"Honey, this baby isn't yours, It's your fathers"!
"Are you telling me we aren't related? That means
we can get married!"
"What do you mean I was switched at birth?"

Sure...very healthy for me ... catching up on
"my soaps" on my day off ~

HEALTH CHECK

After putting off getting my annual physical for
a two months (i should have had one in April), I'm
finally going in for a checkup tomorrow.

I'm not sure if its because I've been watching alot
of "hospital" themed TV Shows, I don't know if I'm
just being paranoid or cautious.

I feel like i want to have "everything done" just
because. I dont' want to overwhelm my doctor with
soo many things ... like ... "just because" ...

SUPER.MEGA.FANTASY.POWER

Yes UNIVERSE, I know it's MY FAULT!!

I only buy Super and Mega Millions lottery tickets, so I didnt think of ever buying
Fantasy 5 tickets ... little did I know, that my favorite numbers would have won
me $400 ... but sadly ... I did not buy the ticket.

And now some 23-year old in South Dakota is $88.5 million richer after buying $15 in Power Ball tickets!!

DISNEYLAND VS. DISNEY WORLD

I'm reading todays USA TODAY and the match-up
between the Lakers & Magic is somewhat kinda
cool ~

Los Angeles VS Orlando ~ hmm

I am going to say, I've been to Disneyland
SOO MANY TIMES, that I feel bored out of
my mind.

But DISNEY WORLD ~ never been there ~ soo
I'm sure the first time I visit, it would be
an AWESOME experience!!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: Night At The Museum: Part 2

ACK!

I "had" to watch a movie today (and not UP)
because i knew I would have 90 points with
Movie Watchers, so I could get a free ticket
which I was planning on using for UP 3D ~
sometime next week, or the next.

I cannot believe I actually rented NATM: Part 1
yesterday, so I could watch NATM: Part 2 today,
well the first movie was somewhat enjoyable, I
thought the second movie would be somewhat
enjoyable too.

IT WASN'T ~ I THOUGHT THAT THE SCRIPT WAS BAADD!!

AMY ADAMS & HANK AZARIA WERE THE ONLY TWO "SOMEWHAT ENJOYABLE" CHARACTERS IN THIS MOVIE.

I've noticed that majority of my posts
consisted of movies and books, I'm not
sure if I should be writing on my two
other blogs about these topics, but then
again...what else would I be writing in
this blog???

I guess anything goes, so I hope readers
don't think I'm being weird or being some
kind of Book AND Movie critic, as if my
opinions matter to some of you.

NEW USE FOR LIP BALM

I found a new use for Lip Balm!!

I was channel surfing last night and saw
a clip of WIFE SWAP ... the husband of one
of the couples was saying that he never
uses lotion/moisturizer, only lip balm for
his face.

Ofcourse the swapped wife thought that was
weird.

Then i started to read more chapters of
Perfect Fifths, and guess what?!?!

Jessica Darling also uses Lip Balm to
moisturize her nose!!!

So...before i went to bed, instead of using
my regular moisturizer, i used Lip Balm on
my nose .... not dry at all this morning!!

NEW LIBRARY CARD

It's been more than a year since I've gone to
the Central Library of Los Angeles. Since I
go to the Burbank Library about every week, I
felt no need to visit.

Anyways, since BUR didnt have the LAST book
from Megan McCafferty, "Perfect Fifths" ~ I
had to travel "all the way" to the Central
Library location.

WHY BUR DIDNT HAVE IT ... I DONT KNOW?!?!?!

Anyways, I had this strange feeling that MAYBE,
just MAYBE, something might go "wrong" !!

I already knew that the book was at the "Popular
Library" section ... and I found it immediately.
I didnt feel like interacting with anyone so I
went to the "self-checkout" machine ...

AND I WAS RIGHT --> "INVALID CARD, PLEASE SEE DESK"

The guy behind the desk said my member number was
deleted since I haven't been to the library for
awhile. But it did take less than 5 minutes for
my new card to be activated.

Maybe I'll go ONCE every month ... since BUR
basically have all the books I need ... now
if only L.A. Central Library would have some
magnets that I can include with my collection.

LA FITNESS: TAKE 2

G & G --> you still have not "won" the bet!!

I'm still looking for other gyms in my "budget",
but now...I think I would still have to do my
"at home gym" (try not to laugh), and pay
attention to the workout videos ~

Since I will have to concentrate on reading
and writing, I might as well do my workouts
at home...since I don't have to worry about
commuting, etc.

The bet was ... I'd get fit in 90 days!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: STAR TREK

This was an amazing movie!!!!!!

Loved the story!
Loved the actors!
Loved the special effects!

It's been awhile since we stayed to watch
the end credits..but we did...very, very
talented people worked on this film.

SEASON 5: Jon & Kate + 8

WE'RE VERY SAD.

We were hoping to see a happy "5th Birthday"
party ... but end up watching Jon & Kate at
their "worst" (maybe not yet, but it was awful).

I cried, when Alexis told Jon "dont leave us"
cry~cry~cry .... but had no tears when Kate
was talking about marriage with multiples
and divorce.

I just want to tell them:
1. stop the book signings
2. stop the special appearances
3. be there for each other, not just the kids

I will be very happy!

LA FITNESS

I AM GOING TO JOIN A GYM!!

SERIOUSLY!!

I've gotten lazy, and even with an
exercise ball, yoga ball, and balance
ball, i feel like i haven't had any
progress at all.

Must be because I half-ass the workouts.

Anyways...if I'm paying for a club, I
probably will try to make the most of it.
I've already looked at the schedule and
would probably benefit from classes like:

Yoga
Body Works Plus ABS
Step Sculpt
MAT Pilates
Step Plus ABS

Wish me luck!! I should start soon, maybe
the start of June.

POM COFFEE

One of my co-workers would constantly give out
POM ice coffee to people at the office, and I
have to admit that it taste quite good.

I stopped drinking hot chocolate in the
morning and now drink coffee with a very
"generous" amount of Hazelnut Coffee Mate.

I have several coupons from McDonalds, and
have yet to try all of their McCafe drinks.

But this POM coffee, so far is the only
iced coffee I've been enjoying.

J & K & TLC

It seems like one of the main topics my friends
and I talk about is J&K from TLC ~ we've been
watching LOTS of reruns (which has made me lag
when it comes to reading) and have been analyzing
some "signs" that the family had "problems" ~

Hmm ... we've always joked about "K" being really
bossy and itchy ... and felt sorry about "J" ...
but even K&J said "oh its J&K, they argue and then
they make up" ... but now K&J are feeding the media
with "contracts" information, etc. ~ that "its over"

And now it makes us sad.

This was the couple that basically "has it all" :
Wonderful kids, wonderful house, wonderful "job" ~

We think that "J" is just really tired of how
"K" is treating him. And feel that they just
need to concentrate in their relationship &
the kids. FORGET ABOUT THE SHOW!!! We want the
kids to have a happy life!!! We already know that
the OCTO FAMILY is completey SCREWED!! We want
the G-10 to move forward from this drama and
come out stronger.

MAYBE A LITTLE HELP FROM DR. PHIL???

1. someone said "bless you" after i
sneezed (and i'm a loud sneezer)

2. the bus driver stopped... when i was
still about to cross the street to get to
the bus stop (some of them just keep driving)

3. someone kept the elavator door open for
me (you've seen the NONSTOP COMMERCIAL)

4. somone let me cut in front of them at
Ralphs (i had less items)

5. i got a free Tiramisu cake after lunch
from one of my favorite restaurant

THE NEW AMERICAN IDOL: KRIS ALLEN

Congratulations to Kris Allen for winning
American Idol this year!!!

I would have loved it if Anoop was the new AI, but
I'm really glad Kris won over Adam !!

He "got me" when he sang Falling Slowly, maybe its
because I had recently watched ONCE, but he was
absolutely incredible.

Then, after watching clips of Heartless,
WOW ~ he deserved to be one of the top
2 spots!

Only TWO performances of Adam really amazed
me. ONE really OTT performance made me wish
he was the one that went home that week, and
did he even play the piano or guitar like
Kris?!?! Nope ~

What really made the night for me was that
the judges kept telling Kris that he should
be really happy that he made it this far,
which seemed really kind of condesending,
soo, I'M really HAPPY when HE WON!!!

OH ... and the whole bit with Kara and
"Bikini Girl" ... too, too, funny!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: ANGELS & DEMONS

It's been awhile since I've read this book,
but I remember liking A&D better than TDC,
so I was excited to watch this.

I don't understand why some people felt
hesitant in watching this movie, there is
absolutely no "catholic controversy" in
this movie ... AND I'M CATHOLIC TOO!!

Anyways, since I read the book, I knew who
the "bad" guy was ... I'm not sure how I
felt about the revisions ... if you've seen
the movie, and liked it ... you should really
read the book too ~

100 BOOK - THE QUARTER REPORT

I was feeling discouraged that I'll actually finish
reading 100 books by Feb. 14 2010 ~

But I actually think its possible!! If I put some
effort to it, and stop watching reruns, I believe
that I'll actually make it.

The fact that some of my "fav" tv shows wont be
returning, and will be replaced by some reruns,
and reality TV crap .... might be good for me.

I've read 2 1/2 NOVELS IN A WEEK ~ so the marathon
reading is actually working. I only watch movies/TV
"when i HAVE to" ~ read in the bus coming to work,
read in the bus going back home.

and ... when there is really NOTHING to do at work,
then i read too.

So ... i'm very hopeful!!

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE "CROWN" ISSUE

I've never really liked pageants ~

No "offense" to any woman who wants to
have "risky" photographs of herself taken,
and then compete in a pageant in the future
where you are judged on:

1. how you look in a bathing suit
2. how you look in an evening gown
3. how you answer a question (any question)

...really if you were raised to believe in
"opposite marriage", ya should have been
raised not to have photographs "like that"
taken.

i just think that a marriage between a man
& a woman is an OPPOSITE MARRIAGE .. TOO
FUNNY ... maybe thats what got the points
deducted!!

Oh ... and to those "panel of experts" that
say take politics out of the pageants ...
i say ... what else are these contestants
going to answer???

1. What do you want to be when you "grow up"
and why??

2. Do you think it is a good example for young
girls that this pageant focuses on how you:
a. look in a bathing suit
b. look in an evening gown

are gone ... FOREVER!!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: The Soloist

GO OUT AND WATCH THIS!!

There was something really special about this
movie. If you liked A BEAUTIFUL MIND, then you
will probably like this as well.

There were times when I forgot I was watching
Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr., and was just
watching Nathaniel Ayers and Steve Lopez
interacting with each other.

We left the theatre feeling sad, about the life
of Nathaniel Ayers, a really gifted person...but
with "demons" beyond his control.

But the movie itself was semi-uplifting, especially
with the voice over by RDJ, about just being with
each other (Lopez & Ayers) made them both better
people.

D. DAY = PART 2

Today was my second appointment for my
dental checkup. The right side of my
mouth had some major deep cleaning ~

My teeth feel soo clean & soo fresh!!

They had to do some touch-ups on the
left side... ofcourse ... since I had
my first appointment A MONTH AGO.

They still told me that i had to get
my wisdom tooth out ... eventually.

Anyways ... the next appointment is in
August. Hopefully, they find out that
i DONT need my wisdom tooth pulled
out!

I'm still not giving up my cravings
of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and
green tea frap from Starbucks!! All
which probably were contributors to
the "staining" ~

TWO CENTS

Stamps are increasing to .44 cents !!!

I have a book of .42 cent stamps, and now I
have to buy a book of .2 cent stamps!!!

If only the FOREVER stamps looked "nicer",
then i would have stocked up while it was
still a cheaper price.

For the past couple of days, I've been
working out --> pilates, yoga, etc.

Dear Network Executives,

Please, please, PLEASE, keep QUALITY
programs like CHUCK on TV!!!

Last night, I was laughing and CRYING
while watching Ugly Betty & Greys Anatomy.
The writing GREATLY improved on these
two shows. I was also happy about the
last LOST episode. But all the Past/Future
talk ... I would think something would
go wrong with the "space-time" laws.

Anyways, I really wish there was less
"Reality Programming" and more Scripted
Shows. I still feel very bitter with
ABC cancelling Pushing Daisies!!!

SWINE FLU & KAISER

I had to reschedule an appointment I had with
Kaiser Permanente for Tuesday, and was hoping
for a different date sometime next week or a
couple of days later.

BUT BECAUSE OF THE SWINE FLU, THEY HAD TO WAIT
FOR MONTH TO RESCHEDULE. THEY SAID IT WAS BETTER
THIS WAY, BECAUSE I WOULDN'T WANT TO BE IN THE
CLINIC WITH ALL THE SICK PEOPLE.

So I was wondering, what difference it would
have made if my physical was still on Tuesday!!
I would have still been around sick people.

But I guess it was better that way. To cancel
my appointment and wait for a month for some
of the "cases" to lessen.

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: Ghost's Of Girlfriends Past

HAPPY SWEET 16TH JASMINE ~

My god-daughter/niece just turned 16 today!!

I just can't believe how much time flies!!

I seem to think of all my nieces and nephews
as children still ~ the little 2, 4, 6 year
olds that just ask alot of questions and say
the funniest things!!

Now everyone is taller than me!! Well...except
Xavier, Matthew, Nathan, and Mia ~ they are now
the real "little kids" in the family.

AND HAPPY CINCO dE MAYO to everyone too!!

MAY IS SWEET

This whole month is full of birthdays
and holidays.

I'm going to go on cake and card overload.

Mothers day is coming up, and i need to make
sure all my cards get sent out in time. All
my international cards have already been
sent & received!!!

Hopefully I don't get bad news from my dentist.
These next couple of days is going to be full
of cake & ice cream & sweets!!

Missed Mass

I missed mass today!!!

So much for being good about going to Sunday
Mass. It's soo hard to get up after how many
hours of sleep.

I was on a roll with the writing though. Maybe
once the manuscript is done, I'll write a
"thank you" to God, for forgiving me and for
helping me overcome the writers block i've been
having for days.

at least i did my rosary ~

Sweet Tooth

i've been craving for sweets for awhile.

but after my last dental appointment, I might
need to cut down on chocolate until the next
appointment which is the 12th of the month.
my dentist already said ... you're wisdom
tooth might need to be pulled out!!

anyways ... after not having hot chocolate for
lent ... and drinking coffee instead ... my
hot cocoa cravyings have disappeared and now
i only want to have COFFEE!!

BUT I MISSED COCOA ~ AND ONLY FEEL LIKE MAKING
HOT COCOA ... JUST FOR THE "IDEA" OF HAVING
THE DRINK.

now ... only coffee picks me up in the morning!

It's a new month!! New topic too!!

April was a "bad" month for me ... I lagged
big time! So hopefully May will be much better.

And the topic is SWEET ~ so I'm sure I could
probably write about the theme in a daily basis.

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: State Of Play

LOCO CHICKEN .... LOCO PEOPLE

Today was El Pollo Loco's turn for free
grilled chicken. Instead of just one piece,
customers were given a leg & thigh and some
tortillas.

I had a feeling the line might be long,
especially for everyone getting out of
work. But free chicken, is free chicken.

I got on the bus at 6:25pm, reached EPL
at 6:30, where there was already a line
forming outside. I've never been to that
location so I didnt know just how big the
line inside will be. Around 6:45 I finally
got inside, 6:50 got to the front counter.
They were asking people for any extra order,
I just wanted the "free chicken", then the
guy asked for my name ... hmmm ....

next to the "order" line was the "pickup"
line where one of the employees was calling
out names...I didn't really want to give out
my name and was thinking of giving "Anastasia"
(if you watch Will & Grace, you'll know why im
chuckling) ... i couldn't make myself do it ...

so i gave "Lyn"....i got my receipt...and it
read LIN ... oh well ... shorter than Anastasia!!

LIN was finally called out and I got my
chicken...at 7pm...FINALLY ABLE TO LEAVE
THE PACKED PLACE ... AND THE LINE STILL
LONG OUTSIDE.

Anyways...I really don't know who "won" in
this competition. I'm still going to order
the original recipie at KFC. If this only
wasn't a competition and just a nice gesture
from both companies.

GRILLED CHICKEN WARS!!

KFC and El Pollo Loco are competing with
each other for the BEST GRILLED CHICKEN!!

Sure .... I love KFC's original recipie
FRIED chicken, but I'm glad they are going
the "healty" route and offering grilled
chicken too.

Today, KFC was offering a free PIECE OF
CHICKEN, I wasn't sure if I wanted to do
a bus ride, get just ONE piece, then go
on another bus ride...but, since it was
free...and i wasnt' driving or wasting gas,
I decided it was worth it.

Anyways, when i got there, there was already
a line...both the counter and drive through.
I got my free drumstick & decided to buy
2 buttermilk biscuits.

The chicken tasted REALLY GOOD!! I kinda wish
they gave out TWO free samples. I don't know
if they'll ever have a mix & match chicken
special ... but if was able to get a original
recipie & grilled chicken meal ... I'll be
very happy!!

Can't wait for the free chicken tomorrow at
El Pollo Loco!!

FAREWELL ANOOP!!

I'm going to stop watching American Idol!!!

For double elimination night, Anoop and Lil
had the lowest points ... Anoop placed #6 !!

I think the judges wasted their save on Matt
last week ... if they didn't think he'll win,
why did they use the save?!?!?!

If there was no double elimination, Anoop
would have placed in the top 5 ~ but Matt
was safe this week ** UGH ** NOT ANOOP !!!

I wish him the best of luck. He has a great
voice and I'm sure he'll be a success!!

So I'm done with AI this season!!

MOVIE WEDNESDAY: 17 Again

We're not big Zac Efron fans, never seen
any HSM movies, but we were excited to
see Matthew Perry on the big screen again.

I must say, this was a REALLY GOOD movie.
Wonderfully written, and the actors are
REALLY FUNNY TOO.

This will most definitely go on my
collection.

Don't miss it!! Thomas Lennon's character,
Ned Gold, has the funniest scenes !!

We missed watching this movie two weeks
ago because the theatre had a BAD print.

Today, nothing else interested us, so we
decided to try to go to this movie.

SHOULD HAVE WAITED FOR THE DVD!!

I don't know why there had to have soo
much VULGER LANGUAGE. The movie concept
itself wasfunny enough. And I wish Jaime
Pressly had more "interesting" character.

The best part of the movie was the end.

I'm getting a STATE REFUND!!

I usually have to PAY STATE TAXES!! So I put off
working on the forms, thanks to Turbo Tax ~ I just
found out that I'll actually be getting money back.

IF ONLY I DID THIS EARLIER. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT
FOR AWHILE.

I DID NOT KNOW:

that there was an EASTER MONDAY !!!

how BAD can I be that I didn't know ~

sure, i don't go to Sunday mass regularly,
or that i may, in the past, ate chicken
(which i didnt consider "real" meat) on a
Friday during Lent ~ but EASTER MONDAY ?!?!

This was the first time i heard of it.

Actually, someone gave me a very nice
calendar and i just noticed the
"Easter Monday" for April 13th ...

Must take a poll on how many people i
know knew about this ..

Picture Book

I'm just soo bummed that Polaroid has stopped
making instant cameras/film.

I found a website that will let me "self publish"
a photography book. So hopefully, I can buy
enough instant film, and take enough "worthy"
pictures!!

Anywas, I also got a new haircut .. my hair now
kinda looks like the artwork on this blog. If
only it was with a dog/puppy instead of a cat.

I'll post "real" pictures soon ~

I really dont think I could keep at a specific
subject ... how many "I DIDNT KNOW THIS" could
I post and what if something else interesting

PALM SUNDAY

Every year, I try making "stuff" out of
the palms I get during Palm Sunday. I
remember in the past, I would try to make
crosses out of the palms.

I've seen crosses that are weaved really
nice.

I've forgotten how to make them, so I had
to go online to try to make the simplest
ones.

One more week until the chocolate bingeing!!

Not too simple for me.
